Traditional Italian cooking is really about simplicity at its core. It’s about having the freshest, liveliest ingredients, and bringing the flavor out of them through masterful technique. It’s what we’ve been doing for decades at Mrs. Robino’s Restaurant, and it’s our dedication to traditional recipes that seems to keep generations of customers coming back.

Old-school Italian restaurant in a circa-1940 renovated row house serving red-sauce classics.

Always busy but the staff is friendly and the food is excellent. Spaghetti and meatball (I chose one, not two) was well cooked and sauced. Lottie Special had a lot of scallops, shrimp and crabmeat. The portions were too large for one meal!

They serve large portions. That’s it! It gives diner vibe not Italian restaurant. My water was served in a dirty plastic cut, if you look in the picture you can see it, when i realized it i stopped drinking. The complimenty bread was served cold not toasted along side the little butter packs. The calamari fresco wasn’t crispy or seasoned and tuff to chew. It’s a Spanish spot up thr street that has better and theirs is probably frozen. I got the crab cake that was 40 bucks. It’s just a big ball of crab meat again no seasoning. It came with a side of spaghetti and I got a meatball. That spaghetti sauce or gravy (whatever you chose to call it) is terrible. It’s a very deep red and super thick, again no flavor. The house made noodles are thick like lo mein noodles, heavy and poorly made.. the meatball was mushy, took one bite and was done. Also ordered was the garlic butter and crab dish with allegedly white wine, yet another flavorless dish, the noodles sucked up the olive oil. Putting salt on the dish made no difference. The bruschetta was swimming in a pool of olive oil and cheese … again flavorless. The sangria was good, the mule was sweet… overall if your looking for a robust, herby, flavorful italian experience.. this is not the place. Ps, if the restaurant is to respond and say they take pride in the food.. well that pride is too high and if you come down a bit you’ll lower your bar.

We started with the Lottie’s Special, which was very creamy and packed with shrimp, scallops, and crab! They named this dish after an employee that has worked there for over 20 years! Each of the wines we tried were from different regions of Italy and the KRIS Delle Venezie is actually from the town that the Romeo and Juliet story is based in! I really enjoyed the 1903 Howland pizza! The pizza includes long hots, sausage, olive oil, garlic, and ricotta! Everything was delicious!

Wow..wow..wow! The atmosphere, the staff is charming, and the food is the biggest star. I can see why they have been around for 85 years. The eggplant that is hand breaded, the meatballs, and the homemade pasta were the biggest standouts for me, but everything was delicious. If you love Italian food, this is a must go to!

Had another great meal last night. As always our dinners were delicious. And of course everyone was so friendly. Parking was a little crazy but all you needed was a little patience. I have to make a special shout out about the Sangria EXCELLENT!!!!

Sorry food was just not good. Nice staff and atmosphere though. Appetizers and pizza were solid but that pasta drenched with extra extra gravy just was not it. Pasta was pretty dough like.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. As an Italian, this is some of the worst food I’ve ever had. Pasta was not cooked, sauce had no taste to it and the presentation looked like my 3 year old nephew put it together. Don’t waste your time here. You’re better off going to Olive Garden!

I love this place. This is an old school local neighborhood Italian restaurant. My wife’s dad came to this restaurant with his grand parents. He took my wife here when she was a kid. Now that he has passed away we bring our kids here to remember him. All of that history and the food is great. Fresh made pasta, great sauce. It is nice to see this place so busy. If you don’t know, it was also on triple D with Guy Fieri.

Honestly people hyped this place up for YEARS what I got was tasteless jarred sauce and absolutely a frozen meatball, with RAW sausage. I was appalled. Not true authentic anything. Parking isn’t easy and you walk in no one acknowledges you. Don’t waste your time or money for real

I have been coming to Mama Robinos all my life, and I’m 38 years old. Is every dish perfect every time? No. Is every experience perfect? No. However, I will never stop coming here for my birthday. This restaurant is what I would consider an authentic Italian Mom and Pop type restaurant. Not Italian American, and not comparable to anything commercial. Its not fancy, but the food is impeccable and homemade. The people and service are ALWAYS friendly, and they are accommodating as hell.

I personally suggest the Sangria, meat ravioli and angel hair pasta. And tira misu. All my favs.

Also, I’m not related in any way. I just absolutely love this restaurant.
