Step into a space where Thai culture comes alive through stunning interior decor that captures the spirit of Thailand. The flavors here are truly unforgettable—each dish bursts with deliciousness and generous portions. The fried prawns, paired perfectly with fluffy white rice. The fried chicken, spring onions, and papaya salad all delivered vibrant flavors that satisfied our cravings. We wrapped up our meal with a cappuccino so frothy and velvety that it felt like a luxurious treat—truly the creamiest, most perfect cup I’ve ever enjoyed.

The atmosphere feels authentically Thai. You feel like you arrived in Thailand.
Service works smoothly. One person handles several tables and does it like a pro.
The food tastes great and the portions are huge. If you leave hungry, I have no idea why.

Royal Thai exceeded our expectations! The food was absolutely authentic especially various sauces and chutneys with rich flavors and perfect spice levels. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming and the staff were attentive and friendly. A must-visit for anyone who loves Thai cuisine.

We reserved a table at this restaurant because we were in the mood for Thai food again. We know that the restaurant has been around for a long time and it was also recommended on the GaultMillau app, which further raised our expectations.
From the warm welcome to the friendly farewell, the service was excellent. We felt very well taken care of throughout the entire evening and were able to enjoy a wonderful menu in a beautiful and relaxed atmosphere.
As mentioned, we chose the set menu, which was more than sufficient in size and offered a very interesting and well-balanced selection of dishes. It allowed us to experience different flavors and gave us a great overall impression of the kitchen.
Thank you very much for the lovely evening. We will definitely come back.

This place was so good that it makes me wonder if I should rethink other 5-star reviews I’ve given. It really could not have been better, from the food quality to the service to the ambiance. We like spicy traditional Thai flavor and asked for that, and our server said they can do the dishes in Thai style. We got two spicy dishes (3 stars on the menu indicating spice level), the filet strips and the chicken curry, and they were out of this world. They had good spice but did not overwhelm the flavors at all, and two entrees was more than enough for the two of us. We did not get appetizers. If we are ever back in Lucerne, this will be the first place we go.

This restaurant is worth visiting if only for the decor: it is in a sumptuous space with a grand staircase with beautiful authentic statutory from Thailand. The service was as one would expect in Thailand… Beautiful and gentle. Food was delicious.

This restaurant’s location was quite hidden. I almost went to another Thai place by mistake.
Impressive interior design, excellent service and delectable food. The steamed seabass was phenomenal. Tom Kha Gai was one of the best.
Highly recommend.

Great food and ambience. We had vegetarian food (no egg, no meat, no seafood) and was awesome taste…in addition attentive food staff and bartender.
*Price for certain dishes are overpriced, but it’s up to you to visit or ignore and visit other Thai restaurants in town, we had only limited days so couldn’t explore much.

I was extremely satisfied with this restaurant. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, from the hostesses at the entrance to the waiters and waitresses. Every dish is very generous in size and can easily be shared between two people. The price–quality ratio is excellent, especially considering the generally high prices in Switzerland.
I visited in the evening for dinner, and there was a woman playing a beautiful instrument with 21 strings (the Khim), which perfectly complemented the ambiance and atmosphere. Most of the waitresses are originally from Thailand, which truly enhances the authentic Thai restaurant experience. Our waitress even knew a few words in Serbian after we told her where we were from (she was incredibly kind and wonderful ).
The food was absolutely delicious, with large portions.
Overall, a truly lovely and memorable experience. Highly recommended!
