This place! What a find and absolutely perfect for this hungry lady looking for a hearty meal after a long morning move out! Snuck in right before closing and absolutely welcomed. Clean, great variety of food and bonus was connecting with the waitress. Clearly I was meant to eat there on this day!
Double bonus, easily parked my suburban on the street. Wish I was headed back to Norfolk but alas that ship has sailed!

I snapped a photo midway with our meal.

We circumnavigate the block three times in order to secure parking. The cuisine exceeded our expectations. The chicken fried beef steak was flavorful and well seasoned, accompanied by excellent gravy. The restaurant delivered a satisfying experience.

01/25/26 @11am. Our server was AMAZING! The Irish Benedict was absolutely amazing and perfect as is! If you’re a bloody Mary fan they have the perfect budget Mary’s made right. This is now going to be a regular spot.

Really busy at noon. Server was having a bad day. We sat at the counter and heard the interactions between the cooks and server. She was vwry snappy and kinda rude. Food was a ove average, not a long wait eventhough they were slammed!

The diner has a classic old-school look and feel, and it was packed when I visited. The burger and coleslaw were solid, but the fries, advertised as hand-cut, were disappointing: greasy, soft, and lacking any crispness. Service felt a bit off as well; the waiter seemed irritated or stressed. Overall, decent food, but a few things need attention.

We happened to be in the area so we stopped for breakfast. I’m so glad we got there just after 8 (for breakfast) because by the time we were ready to leave it was PACKED! There’s a good reason, though.

The food was fantastic and the staff was like talking to an old friend.

We got the salmon cakes (my first time trying them and they were good enough I’d order them again), chicken and waffles, a kitchen sink dog, and then a basic breakfast for the tiny human.

My husband had the hot dog and salmon cakes and loved both (though he liked the bot dog a bit more).

I had the chicken and waffles and they were cooked absolutely perfectly. My only complaint, and it’s a small one, is that they syrup was too watery so there wasn’t much flavor in it and it didn’t coat the meal, just kind of dropped on it, but that isn’t a deal breaker, it was still delish.

All in all, you won’t be disappointed. The vibes are cute, prices are reasonable, great location, awesome people watching, and just an overall great experience.

This place is a small gem with a bit of nostalgia. Everyone there greeted me with a smile and friendly Hello. My server was very nice and kept coming by to make sure that I was well taken care of. I got chicken and waffles with eggs scrambled with cheese. They waffles were good and the chicken was crispy and juicy. They didn’t skimp on the cheese for the eggs. The proportions were good and the food was priced nicely. This is my 2nd time coming here. I am definitely a repeat customer.

This spot is a solid choice for a quick breakfast with the family. The atmosphere is charming and cozy, offering a genuine “local favorite” vibe. You can expect convenient parking on-site, with additional street parking available nearby.

Our server was attentive and professional, earning a perfect 10/10 for customer service. She made us feel welcome and ensured our meal was smooth from start to finish.

However, the food itself was average. While it arrived quickly, the flavors didn’t particularly stand out. We tried a few items, including scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage, and a hearty breakfast skillet with eggs, bacon, and toast. Everything was well-prepared, but it lacked the savory punch you might hope for in a memorable breakfast.

Overall, it’s a pleasant place with great service. While the food may not be extraordinary, it’s a good stop for a decent meal. I’d still recommend checking it out, especially for the friendly service and cozy atmosphere.

We needed a bite to eat heading back to Maryland and decided to give this little diner a shot on our way out of town. It looks and feels like you’d want a small diner to. You seat yourself so we just grabbed a spot outside which was nice. Once I found out that their hot dog chili was homemade, my fiance and I both got the chili dog platters and it did not disappoint. This is a great place to eat and would eat here again if we are ever in the area.

Yesterday my husband and I celebrated our 21st anniversary by starting the day with breakfast at this adorable spot we randomly looked up that morning—and we’re so glad we did! From the moment we walked in, I was instantly giddy over the cute décor and nostalgic 60s diner vibe. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, and our waiter, Ralph, was an absolute delight who made our experience even better.

My husband ordered the vegan skillet, and I went with the French toast platter with soy sausage—and OMG, the maple bourbon butter sauce was out of this world! Everything was delicious, and the atmosphere was just perfect for our special day.

Thank you, Little Dog Diner, for the warm hospitality, amazing service, and fun experience. We’ll definitely be back—many times!
