This OG Kruse & Muer Gem has stood the test of time at that exact location for(my memory) almost 35-40!years they demolished the Former Meadowbrook Mall & k&M still stands. The fresh bread/ white paper cover kids used to draw over during dinner- the absolute best Seafood & Soups & bread/pizza you could ask for.. long live This Location.

I genuinely wish I could give my experience zero stars, and most of the time when I read that I think people are being facetious. However, with the experience that I just had I would like to give this place the lowest rating possible. Their food is amazing, but that is not enough when the customer service is tragic, and I hope you guys get better leaders in your establishment. I dealt with a manager tonight, I believe his name was Nick but I’m not positive, and I think he needs some serious training classes on customer service. I went in to get a pickup order, after I had worked a full shift in the same village that this restaurant is located in, and was ignored by the manager I am speaking of. What I believe to be a fellow staff member had to point out to him that I was waiting, and he was in my opinion ignoring me because he wanted to continue his conversation. Once I had finally been acknowledged, he was extremely rude not only to me but to his workers. He shoved my food in front of me, so I went to pick it up he placed his hand on top of my food, and stated ‘She will put it in a bag. Wait’ like I was a dog. I have worked in customer service for many years, and I’ve never been treated this way nor would I treat any of my customers this way. I hope he gets a serious attitude adjustment and figures out what is wrong with him because that’s definitely not my job. Finally, I would like to reiterate that the food is great and in the past I’ve had wonderful service. I understand that things can be taken out of hand, and I would never want to harm a business, but whoever the owner is needs to control their employees.

Amazing! The owner is great and very personable! He was sure to get to know every table on a deeper level. Very wholesome man. Not to mention how great their food tastes! Worth the price and the wait! Will be back!

My wife and I loved Kruse and Muer. The food was awesome and the service was excellent. This is a small restaurant, which was part of the great atmosphere. We will be coming back when we are in the area.

We stopped in for an early dinner about 3:30pm on Tuesday. The restaurant was full but we did quickly get a table. The table was rather tight against another. The bread is great as always. We ordered the James Beard clam chowder which was good but I think a bit expensive for what it is. The portion was small for $9. We had the perch and blackened chicken sandwiches while the boys had pasta. All are good, enjoyable food. Our waitress was great and very attentive even with the place being busy.

Overall a good meal with great service but I felt cramped in our table.

Kruse and Muer always has great food. Chicken sandwich was great for lunch. Their poppyseed bread is always great too.

I dined here last month, absolutely loved it. Location-wise this is wonderful as it is near my job, and has lots of parking, plus shopping. Our server was fantastic, she explained the menu well and assisted us with our drink choices. I loved the food. Pasta was fantastic, as was my soup. Drinks were good, not too strong for a Monday night. Restaurant was packed, rightfully so as the service and menu are great, will definitely be back again soon!

Food was very delicious. Service was just as spectacular as my servers facial hair (ask for Jeff). Last but not least, there is a difference between a bathroom and a restroom… Kruse and Muer has the latter. Well done.

I’m a frequent customer of Kruse & Muir and regularly order from the Downtown Rochester Main Street location, where I’ve always had great experiences. However, my recent visit to the Village location was disappointing. The carryout service felt unprofessional, and the food quality did not match what I’m used to. I would recommend driving to the Main Street location for the level of service and consistency I’ve come to expect.
