Food was good but not exceptional. But we all enjoyed our meals and definitely good value, unlike a lot of places these days. I had meatloaf and they were accommodating with subs. We all had a baked potato and those were well above average. Others had the pan fried white fish and chopped steak. Quiet place to visit and server was excellent. Dining room and especially men’s room were very clean. Would definitely come again.

We stumbled on the Royal oak looking for a place for dinner open on a Monday. Our server was incredibly nice and so bubbly, she answered every question with a smile and was amazingly efficient. The food choices are wide and we were all so happy with the quality and it came out piping hot.. If you are traveling through the area it is worth the stop

Food is really good but don’t go to the bathroom. Only ate 2/3 of my sandwich and went to the bathroom for 5 minutes. Come back and my table is cleaned off. They offered to remake so I could take to go but I am here to eat on my lunch hour. Not have food to go that will sit in my van for more than 4 hours. I love the food but probably won’t be back since I can’t tell if I will actually get to finish the food I was paying for.

We were driving across Indiana and stopped at Fair Oaks farms based off of multiple recommendations. We were not happy at all with are experienced there they were out of biscuits at 10:30 on a Saturday morning. So we looked at reviews and decided to come to the Royal Oak. Everything was perfect we were waited on in a timely fashion the girls who worked there were polite and friendly and fast. Our food was very good tasty and at a reasonable price. My husband had the prime rib special and I had a 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy and a Belgian waffle. The Belgian waffle was terrific my husband tried some and agreed. I enjoyed my biscuits and gravy too.

THE FOOD IS GOOD BUT HIGH PRICED. I THE MENU SHOWS LIKE A ITALIAN BEEF WITH FRIES AND SOUP, THE FRIES AND SOUP ARE EXTRA. THE SERVICE IS NOT VERY GOOD. THE WAITRESS SERVED OTHER TABLES SEVERAL TIMES OVER THAT SAT DOWN AFTER US. IGNORING US AND NOT PICKING UP TO DIRTY PLATES FROM OUR TABLE. SHE CAME TO OUR TABLE ONCE AFTER THE MEAL WAS SERVED, ALL THE WHILE GOING TO THE OTHER TABLES 5 OR 6 TIMES EACH. SO, MAKE UP YOUR OWN MIND. ON THIS PLACE. MY WIFE AND I WERE NOT IMPRESSED OR HAPPY.

My husband and I have enjoyed eating at Royal Oaks. We have never had any bad meals there, some of the meals there were heaped with food where we had to take doggie bags home, because they were so filling. The atmosphere there was very relaxing. No over powering of other customers talking. Service is always great, waitresses checking to see if needing anything. When we leave to pay, always say compliments to the chef.

Great wait-staff super nice. We were not rushed to order anything but was checked in very frequently throughout the whole dining. A lot of delicious food options, greatly priced. Clean and super cute place! Will return when back in the area.
