This was our first time here and we had a very nice time. We were seated right away by our super great server. Our drinks and appetizer came out quickly. The deep-fried onions & dip were tasty. I was a bit concerned about noise, but it wasn’t too loud as we were in a separate room from the bar area.
The food was good and in nice portions. All in all, it was a positive experience, and I recommend Arooga’s.

Great specials. Bartender Kelly was super friendly even though obviously busy.
Crab pretzel was delicious.

Neither of us being fans of “sports bars,” we’ve passed Arooga’s many, many times and we have been at a total loss. We did not expect such a great selection of food and, unlike other sports bars, this was not “franchise” typical pub fare.
My wife had the Tomato Basil Bisque & Grilled Cheese with Bacon, the bisque was really flavorful and that sandwich looked like artwork. I had the Chicken & Shrimp Mac ‘n Cheese, and I was absolutely blown away by the insanely good flavor. The sauce was just lightly creamy, seasoned so very well, the chicken was not just a sliced, cooked chicken breasts other restaurants would usually serve, this was either marinated or perfectly seasoned and so tender, and the shrimp were large and so good. I wish I could have finished more, but it’s going to make tomorrow’s lunch a lot less boring! Oh and the *only* issue, and not complaining because I’ll be ordering this drink next visit, my wife ordered the People’s Margarita, and she got the Cucumber Jalapeno Margarita. She made a face when she first tasted it and asked if it was supposed to have jalapeno and I pulled the drink menu and confirmed the mistake. Not being a fan of anything pepper-related, hot or not, and not wanting to waste an otherwise really well-made margarita, she jumped on that grenade and drained it. She said, to her tastes, it wasn’t great, but I’m giving serious thought to taking an Uber our next visit, because I’d love to enjoy two of those. I feel bad for neglecting such a wonderful restaurant for so many years; never again and thank you all!

There is a horrible roach problem here. The staff is dirty as well as the kitchen. Staff do not wear any kind of gloves & also don’t wash hands. They even eat food off your plate before it goes out! This is only a great place to go if you’re trying to build up immunity to bacteria and you like sharing what you pay for with the staff.

The food was pretty good. Our service was weird… Our waitress was MIA much of the time. Seemed like she was on something. We were there for a late dinner, about 7:30pm and it was really empty, but they put our party of 2 families off to the side in high tops and we were having to ask other employees for refills, napkins, and the bill.

This was our first time coming to Aroogas and w will be back. The street tacos were amazing, the wings were crisp, the Nashville hot tenders were on point and they have Guinness on tap!!! The only reason why the food got 4 stars was because my son’s pizza was a bit dull and the wings could have been a little bit wetter. I have nothing but good words for the service and our waiter, Malachi, was so impressive. He made sure to check on us several times without being overbearing. He heard our son say he wanted a bigger juice and the next refill came with a bigger cup. He is the reason, (besides the beer on tap and tacos) that I will be back. Hats off to Malachi and the chefs and thank you for making our first time delicious.

Arooga was your typical sports bar. They have a large menu. I got the Quesadilla and it was quite good. One of our party got the fish and chips and the only complaint after a few of us tasting the tartar sauce was it tasted rancid. The salads were decent. The overall appearance of Aroogas could use some help it’s pretty run down inside, the bathrooms were rough. Overall it was okay I’m not sure I’d go out of my way to go back though.

My girlfriend and I visited today. We usually have an okay experience at this Aroogas. But today we waited to get a was 25 minutes and did not see a server. There was only one other table in the section and they also expressed the same frustration. Hopefully they can get it figured out

One of the top spots in Lancaster if you are looking to watch your favorite team or a fight. One of the few spots that don’t make you pay a cover. Your typical sports bar food is super consistent and always good. Dominique is also one of the best bartenders around. No matter how busy it is, she is super efficient. They always seem to not have items they put on special, and there always seems to be TV’s out of service.

I’m actually shocked by these negative reviews. Is this place the best bar I’ve ever been to, or is it some kind of exquisite fine dining? No. But, is the food still really tasty? Definitely.
I tried a few of their items. Their food is a bit more expensive than other neighboring bars, but it’s darn good. I tried the Amish pierogis and the cheesesteak with white cheese whizz.
The pierogis were absolutely amazing. Genuinely the best I’ve had in a long time, maybe ever. The potatoes are creamy and the dough is crispy on the outside. The side dipping sauce as a hint of spice and it’s also creamy. Way better than just regular sour cream. I would highly recommend them.
The cheesesteak was only okay. The chicken “steak” was pretty well made and decently tender. The cheese was a little artificial, but not bad. Bread was also just okay. A little more expensive but a good portion. The coleslaw was pretty bad. Did not seem fresh, to be honest.
All in all, it’s a great bar in this area. The pierogis were especially amazing. Definitely recommend them!
