The food was good and the service was friendly and attentive – we genuinely enjoyed the hibachi experience overall. However, while I was cleaning rice off the floor that my baby had dropped, I noticed a roach, which was pretty unsettling. After looking through other reviews, it seems this may have come up before, so I hope management takes steps to address it. It’s a great place otherwise, but cleanliness is obviously important, especially when dining with kids.

Got a coupon to come here so I wasn’t expecting much at this place considering places that give out coupons like that aren’t doing well. I was pleasantly surprised. The Philadelphia roll was excellent and tasted fresh. The chicken hibachi my wife got was excellent. I got the chicken teriyaki which wasn’t great, but everything else was good. The atmosphere was nice, we didn’t sit at one of the hibachi tables just the regular dining area which was quiet and well decorated. The service was also very good. I would come back here again for the hibachi.

We visited Nishiki hibachi for an anniversary date night and we were so pleasantly surprised with the experience! We only waited about 5 minutes to be seated at a hibachi table, which was great and usually not the case for most restaurants. They seemed well staffed and everyone was pleasant.
They had great appetizer options, we tried the pork gyoza and enjoyed them. They were nice and crispy with a tangy sauce. Our hibachi chef was awesome! He had so much personality and really seemed to enjoy what he was doing also. He was quick making our food, and everything was so delicious.
I can’t recommend the scallops enough!! They were so tender and well seasoned on the grill. The steak was also great, but the scallops really made the night for me. The main reason we went to hibachi was a craving for good fried rice, and our chef definitely did that! Oh, and it was super affordable. Only about $70 for 2 adults, which is great considering we had lunch for the next day. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in the mood for some hibachi.

Very disappointed with our experience Large group for our granddaughters birthday. Twenty minutes after being seated the fire alarms went off for over 20 minutes and the staff acted like nothing was wrong. Parents were covering their children’s ears, people were shouting to be heard and the staff just seemed to disappear. No management stopped by to explain what was going on or even apologize for the inconvenience. Even though they were open for almost another 2 hours we were the only table left and the staff started cleaning and placed their cleaning supplies by our table even though we were still just starting to pack up and leave. Food was good but show was mediocre so needless to say will not be returning..

Im the type i dont leave a review unless Ive eaten at the same place at least 3 times to give a more honest review. First off the taste and quality of the meats and food being prepared are very good. Meats are always tender..not chewy. Filet mignon or the angus steak. The taste is true and consistent each time i’ve had a meal from here. Nishiki is one of many japanese resturaunts Ive tried in the medfor-patchogue side of suffolk, and in .y opinion best tasting. I have tried maybe 7-10 other japanese restuaraunts in the area… and i would not stray from Nishiki again. The price is validated by the quality, quantity and taste you get. Also delivery orders arrive quickly and hot..even though the resturaunt is over 8 miles from my home…Looking forward to my next meal. Keep up the good work. A+

I order, and get food from this place very often as their foods have always been fresh and delicious!!! I’ve ordered takeout from them multiple times and never had anything go wrong with my order!
Their hibachi chicken and fried rice, is my go-to meal every time, the sauce on the chicken is really good, the only issue I notice at times is that the vegetables are sometimes not fully cooked but is tolerable! This is my favorite hibachi place around, their atmosphere and interior is very clean, and beautiful!
Another popular order I get is the cucumber and avocado sushi rolls which is my top favorite, it’s so refreshing and is freshly made! It’s good if you want a light meal or a vegetarian option, or if you are someone that’s not into raw sushi or a big sushi fan! Their clear soup, and side salad are really good, otherwise I’m a huge fan of their ginger salad dressing, it’s so good tasting and addicting!!!
Overall, I recommend this place when it comes to hibachi or to get sushi since they have a whole variety of options, both vegetarian and vegan options!!! Only complaint I have about this place is that they are awfully pricey, and costly when it comes to meals so be prepared for a very expensive bill or for takeout but nevertheless I say it’s worth it!

My family and I have been coming to Nishiki for over 15 years. We’ve always enjoyed the food and supported this restaurant, so it pains me to have to write a review like this.
About a month ago, my family and I ordered our usual Saturday dinner and spent around $120. When we got home and sat down to eat, I poured the dressing onto my salad and discovered a roach in it. I went back immediately and showed the manager. The only response I received was an apology, and after prompting, he offered to refund us. There was no concern, no explanation, and no reassurance that steps would be taken to address the issue.
Fast forward to recently. I decided to give them another chance and dined in. As I was eating, I looked up and saw a roach crawling up one of the long seats in front of me. At that point, I completely lost my appetite. This is now the second time I’ve encountered a roach here. Once in my food, and once in the dining area. This isn’t an isolated incident, it’s a clear sign of an infestation.
I spoke to the manager again, and while he apologized, there was still no real concern or sense of urgency. Roach problems can happen, but they can also be fixed with the proper sanitation measures, pest control, and if necessary, temporarily closing to fumigate. When roaches are appearing in customer seating and in the food, that means the issue is far beyond the occasional sighting.
I truly hope Nishiki takes the appropriate steps to address this infestation. I’ve supported this restaurant for many years and it’s upsetting to see this level of neglect toward cleanliness and customer safety. If you choose to dine here, please be mindful of your surroundings, keep your personal belongings closed, and check your food carefully.
I write this review not out of malice, but out of genuine concern for other customers and hope that management takes this seriously.

Make sure you eat on the side where they cook in front of you. Not On tables on the side of the restaurant.. This way , you see your food being prepared..Plus gentleman does a great job of it

Local guide approved! Excellent place to be with friends or family and even kids. Very entertaining cooks. The place looks very clean and the environment in general is cozy. Don’t be afraid of the sale squirt!!! It is fun and it is mild so you don’t choke with the alcohol. All the food is great but my favorite one was the sushi pizza, loved it!!!.

One of my favorite sushi spots. The hibachi is only okay but the sushi is great. Good atmosphere and even better servers. The place has decent seating and can easily seat parties of 4+. Prices are okay but it’s great quality so no complaints there. Verdict is I’d go again.
