Another great mom and pop breakfast/lunch place. Unpretentious, comfortable like eating at your grandparents house. Very much Texas. Kind of place you might see Tommy from Landman eating at. They serve Community Coffee, my favorite. Friendly service, struck up a short Russian convo with our waitress who was Ukrainian, and very sweet and helpful. And it isn’t often I say this, but even the other customers in the diner were nice and pleasant to chat with. Definitely will be back!

The service is very friendly. A cozy little dinner that has daily specials written on a whiteboard. The BLT was delicious and hit the spot. They had homemade frys. The chicken there is very well seasoned. Love the verity of choice. I would recommend for a quick and affordable meal very fresh.

What I witnessed here was disgusting and shameful. Two Hispanic girls were openly mocked and ridiculed by both staff and patrons simply for what they were wearing. The laughter, comments, and judgement were not subtle- they were deliberate, cruel, and rooted in prejudice. No one intervened. No one shut it down. The atmosphere made it clear that this behavior was not only tolerated but normalized.
As if that weren’t bad enough, an old man sitting nearby spent an uncomfortable amount of time staring at these teenagers’ bodies. It was blatant, leering, and deeply inappropriate. The fact that this went unchecked, and even encouraged by the staff, in a family restaurant is appalling.
This place isn’t “small town charm” or “country hospitality.” It’s a hostile environment where young girls were humiliated and objectified, and where staff failed their most basic responsibility: ensuring guests feel safe and respected. I will never return, and I will strongly warn anyone- especially families of color- to think twice before walking through the door.

I stopped by here and found this place to be very relaxing. I ordered from the lunch special. Ordered the meatloaf with pinto beans and mashed potatoes. Food was excellent and my waitress Jen was in my book one of the best waitresses I’ve encountered. This place will make you feel like your in your grandmothers kitchen. This is just plain ole good home cooking of favorite comfort foods. I personally recommend this place if you visit The Saginaw, Texas area. The atmosphere is like from the 1950’s era.
