Had lunch at Applebees on State St, Saginaw, MI. Husband had bourbon Street steak – cooked perfectly, juicy and tender. I had Oriental Crispy Chicken Salad. It was fresh and delicious. Lots of chicken, and Oriental Vinegarette is perfect with the salad. Haylee, our server was attentive and thoughtful. Mgr, Mike, stopped by our table to make sure everything was going fine. We will be back to visit again soon. We recommend this restaurant.

Don’t go to apple bee on satuday afternoon. Short staffed in kitchen. Couple next to me waited 1 hour for thier 2nd entree. My appetizer came out with my meal. U asked Jacob why? Jacob said “your lucky to get it. Don’t complain. Thier busy”. I looked up and checked the restraunt. Restraunt wasn’t even 1/2 full. Then I noticed I was missing the fries and coleslaw that comes with the ribs. It took 20 more minutes for the fires to come out. Never got my coleslaw. I had to go up to the bar to get my own pop refill. I never saw management walking around asking how things were. But Jacob sure did bring me a bill and asked to for a good review on the survey. I asked if there was problems today because the ribs did not come out hot. Jacob said “that is the way it is”. Apple bees will have to pay me to come back.

The staff was nice, and the tables were clean. However, waited for our food for 45 minutes to an hour, our waitress did not give us any straws and when asked for our straws she gave our table a single straw. We had to ask her for more straws. The food was not worth the price, if I was a poor minded individual I would have walked out without paying, and i probably wouldn’t have felt bad about it. After waiting for almost an hour for our food, it was missing ingredients and was not put together in an appealing manner. The buns would be too toasted to the point they were cutting mouths, and some ingredients were unorganized on the sandwich which would leave other buns soaked and soggy. Ordered sauce on the side and it had been sitting in the window so long that there was a layer of dried sauce on the top that was very unappetizing. Staff made no adjustments to compensate for disappointment in our meal and we paid for our unappealing meal with full expenses and they did not seem to feel like they did anything wrong. I understand product was made and as a customer it’s our responsibility to pay for the product, but this product was not only disgusting to eat, but was much too expensive then its value to me as a customer. I will not return, and I will encourage others not to return unless the staff increases their products, prices, and performances. I have found McDonald’s to have better services then them lately. Maybe it’s possible that they could send a few employees to train there and learn how to service customers.

Food was great but both times i was there there was hardly anyone in the restaurant and i literally sat and waited for my food to come to me for almost 45 min. That was the fist time the second time i sat and waited for someone just to take my drink order for over 10 min until i finally just got up a left. Poor service

Everything was good for two of us. The food was hot and delicious, the service was great, and we were out in less than an hour. Couldn’t ask for better, and will be back.

After working at an Applebees down the road for many years, I came in tonight expecting a good experience. Appetizers came out good and so did our food. 30 minutes before close we asked if we could get another round of drinks and the bartender said she already called last call. Normally we would have no issue with this but working at the same restaurant for many years we knew that you serve until close. Also witnessed that bartender make drinks for other guests after telling our server that she already did last call.

The food here is usually good and the prices are good. My only issue is the service. It is extremely hit or miss with sometimes you get fantastic service and sometimes you get horrendous service. Today was one of those horrible services days. I was seated and waited 15 minutes for my waitress/waiter to come and place a drink order. No one ever showed up and the only waitress I saw in the area, was taking care of people who came in after me. So I ended up just giving up, telling the manager, and going to Burger King.

Great service especially when attending to a party of 10. We had a lot of hungry toddlers with us as well and we’re able to get them fed without any issues. Would recommend bringing back the kids coloring menu to keep them busy but other than that; no complaints from us.

The food here is excellent. The Applebee’s in Bay City will never get me to order ribs there again.
