The Flannel Camper
We discovered this place while visiting from Vancouver Washington. Yes, we were in beef country but after a couple days here in town, Italian sounded good. This place was amazing. We were greeted by a friendly staff and seated right away. The food was fantastic. We all tried different dishes from fettuccine alfredo, lasagna, pizza, chicken parmesan, and salad. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted awesome. This place is a gem and we can’t wait to return.

We ordered take-away from this restaurant as we were travelling through North Platte.
We ordered the following dishes: Veal Piccata, Veal Marsala, Chicken Cacciatore, Tutto delmare, and Tiramisù.
The food was overall good, but the pasta was definitely overcooked, and unfortunately, as an Italian, this is an important aspect I consiser whenever I eat pasta at an Italian restaurant. The sauce in the pasta was tasty and well-made, though!
I also appreciated the dessert, which was very tasty but didn’t really taste like a tiramisù.
All in all, I would reccommend this place but I think it is better to dine in rather than ordering take-away like we did.

Coming from Denver wasn’t sure what to expect as I was just driving through, everything was so good and my server was so amazing. I don’t usually leave reviews, but Cadien was one of the best servers I’ve ever had. So friendly and inquisitive. I watched him interact with the younger staff so politely. He was really informative and nice I can’t say it enough about awesome he was, especially listening to how he talked to everyone. I’m definitely it that patient. 5 stars for sure. Food was great on top of the service.

The service was friendly and the food was good. We had spaghetti with meatballs and it came with a side salad and bread. The ranch dressing was excellent. The interior could use a bit of attention as the ceiling tiles are stained and the AC vents are really dirty.

Alex greeted us as soon as we walked in and made us feel so welcome. Rachel was a wonderful server as well. The food was great. My sister and I had plenty of vegetarian options. We also enjoyed a nice glass of wine.

Delicious food!
Their dinner rolls are soft, fluffy, addictive and made in house.
Their Caesar Salad – yum! The house made Caesar dressing perfectly coating the fresh romaine lettuce perfectly balanced with very tender chicken.
Incredibly priced and great value!
Thank you Luigi’s for making an awesome stop for a road trip.

We drove from Rapid City this morning and ended our night at Luigi’s Italian restaurant. The entrees and the service were excellent. But instead of playing traditional Italian music, the background music is old country songs. I don’t need Vivaldi or Puccini, but I’d like something that makes me feel like I’m in the region that aligns with the food. So I’ve got tears in my eyes when I’m trying to eat my salad, because I fall apart every time I hear Don’t Take the Girl by Tim McGraw. I can’t be the only one. Anyway, when that song ended, I ate every bit of food that was put in front of me (my wife ordered Fettuccine Alfredo and I got Pasta Primavera), and then got tears in my eyes again when our great server Rachel said they were out of crème brûlée. So many emotions in one meal. Anyway, this place is great, and I’d be happy to return.

The food was delicious with the homemade rolls and house salad dressing with the portions and price being very agreeable. Even after reheating our leftovers a couple of days later, the food was still delicious. It was also a pleasant surprise to find out they did have gluten free penne pasta as an option (it’s not on the menu so just ask) which I appreciated as being gluten intolerant. It was short staffed but very friendly and looked like they were hiring a couple of new people while we were there. Great little Italian restaurant!
