extra small chicken, one plantain is bigger than the chicken drumstick.

Update nov 2025 ! AGAIN! I tried one more time , the same, small chicken pieces ever, amd this time I tried the ropa vieja plantains and is not like the pictures show. No sauces on my order, and I noticed when I arrived home.

I barely do reviews. But today our family decided to get together, 9 of us total. I ordered the tropichop for 10 people. Not realizing that it was a 4pm pick up. The manager on duty was amazing and did my order when I walked in at 1:30pm. 30 minutes later and my order was ready. Thank you so much for your hard work and making this possible us.

My husband and I usually go to eat at Pollo twice a week because we love the food there. Last weekend was the first time we felt really welcomed. We were greeted by a beautiful smile that said “Welcome to Pollo”, we were cashier by another young lady who took good care of us, but the person who made our evening special was lady wearing a red shirt, her name was Sofia. I don’t remember her last name, but what a pleasant and energetic person. I think she is new because we haven’t seen her before. While we were waiting for our meal she approached us to ask us with a smile if everything was okay and how our day was going? Which we replied “very good , thank you. It is great to see someone take the time during busy hours to make us fell welcome. What a great attitude she seemed to have, while we watched her move throughout the kitchen. Thanks Pollo Tropical for a great dinning experience, and a memorable evening.

As a kitchen manager, I am very understanding and do not expect things to be picture perfect when eating out. Especially when I place an order going through a drive-thru window. I’m usually very forgiving, and patient as I know how difficult a restaurant environment can be to work in. Unfortunately, this particular establishment consistantly drops the ball and either gives me the wrong food, or sends me on my way with my order being incomplete. It’s come to the point that I have to check my order evertime before I leave, and have them correct it before leaving. I’m tired of getting all the way home before discovering that my order is wrong time and time again. Most of the people that work at the window are very young, have little experience and seem to care less about correcting the problem when I come back. It’s come to the point that I will no longer visit this establishment, and have decided to find somewhere new to go. The aggravation is simply not worth it to me.

I had to ask for recently cooked chicken . In the past they delivered chicken already cooked and stored in a rack, tasted dry and over heated to prevent spoilage. They should not grill large amounts. I rather wait than promptly delivered.! My today tasted great . I had to wait a couple of minutes….

Ordered an online pickup and the order wasn’t complete, the manager wasn’t attentive or welcoming and their service was horrible. When I got home I found out they forgot a few items in my order so I had to drive the 10 minutes back to the restaurant to get said items and upon my return it wasn’t ready after I called 15-20 minutes earlier and the cashier/manager was absolutely uninviting to the restaurant. Also, very hard to understand them, their English understanding is not good at all, the person who waited on me after returning to their restaurant from them missing a few items in my order didn’t understand a thing I was saying and had to ask 2 other people what I said, all I asked for was sauce and a straw. I think you should hire people who understand your countries language.

I have the same complaint as Kyle Bloodsworth, below. I go to four Pollo Tropicals in the area, and this one is the worst. But I thought I would try again because it was on the way. Chicken way overcooked, missing items, rude and suspicious employees. They need to work smarter. I should have just stopped with Maria at Forest Hill and Jog!

I placed an online order that was not ready at the scheduled time for pick up, I ended waiting 20 minutes before it was ready. Luckily I checked my bags because several things were wrong; they gave me a pulled pork tropichop instead of the vegetarian tropichop which I ordered. They gave me yellow rice instead of white and my side of corn was missing. They gave me regular fries instead of wedge fries that I ordered which I didn’t even bother to ask for after I was treated like I was the one who did something wrong. My yuca and fries were burnt like they fried potato skins to serve.I just tossed them in the trash. Rude meal preps… the cashier however was very nice. Definitely never going back here.

This place is absolutely terrible. The only thing they are good at is taking your money. Orders come out wrong the food is mediocre on a good day. It is down right awful. I will never go here again. Go to La Granja because at least they have a basic understanding of the English language. Sorry customer service and terrible teenagers that don’t care. Grow up Pollo!

Ask for double corn not a single one on there. Meat was extremely less than dine in. No beans either. Wow
