Stopped here for dinner on the way to stay at the nearby holiday inn hotel. Ordered chicken 65, bread basket and tikka masala. The chicken 65 here should actually be called as chilly chicken. Nevertheless the taste was amazing and so was the bread basket. The tikka masala was fine and could’ve been more spicy even though we asked for a 3 spicy level. Very good staff and service and the atmosphere was very good as well. Definitely a must recommend if u want to try good north Indian food and if you’re a tourist crazing for decent Indian cuisine!

The food was really good. I like the 1 to 5 spice thing that they did I chose 2 and it wasn’t spicy at all maybe next time ill do a 3. Highly recommend this place.

Absolutely incredible experience at Taaza!
We tried the goat curry, shrimp biryani, paneer & kaju lababdar, and gobhi manchurian — every single dish was exceptional. The flavors were rich, authentic, and perfectly balanced. You can really tell how much care goes into the cooking.

The service was just as impressive: warm, attentive, and genuinely hospitable. Taaza has definitely become one of my favorite Indian restaurants. Highly recommend!

Me and my wife recently visited this restaurant and ordered Gobi Manchurian, expecting it to be completely vegetarian. Unfortunately, while eating, I found a small piece of chicken mixed in the dish. This is extremely disappointing and unacceptable, especially for someone who follows a strict vegetarian diet.

For vegetarians, this is not a small mistake — it breaks trust and can be very upsetting. Since this is an Indian restaurant, it is especially important to follow the ethics and discipline of Indian kitchen culture, where vegetarian and non-vegetarian food are kept strictly separate. Cross-contamination should never happen.

In addition, samosa is known as a pure vegetarian item. This makes me seriously question whether the same contaminated oil is being used for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian items. One of the waiters admitted that they use the same oil for frying non-vegetarian items as well. However, the manager gave a completely different explanation, which felt like an attempt to avoid responsibility instead of addressing the mistake honestly.

There was no formal apology received from anyone, it felt like I made mistake by coming to this restaurant everyone ware ignoring us.

To make matters worse, I was also given a bill that included charges for a non-vegetarian item that was served to me by mistake and that I had already returned. Even after returning it, the charge was still included in my bill, and I had to specifically ask the waiter to remove it. This added to my disappointment and showed a lack of professionalism and attention to customer concerns. The overall handling of the situation made me feel that they did not care about the emotional distress and discomfort caused to me.

Because of this experience, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who is vegetarian. Restaurants must take more care and responsibility in maintaining proper food handling standards, accurate billing practices, and respecting dietary choices. If you cannot maintain the true kitchen culture and ethics of Indian cuisine, then you should not use the name of India to represent your restaurant.

I hope they seriously improve their kitchen practices and customer service to ensure this does not happen to anyone else.

If you are on strict vegetarian diet please avoid this restaurant!!!

I recently dined at Tazaa Indian Cuisine and tried the Paneer Lababdar and Chicken Lababdar — both were absolutely delicious and flavorful. We also ordered Garlic Naan, which was initially burnt, but the staff promptly replaced it, which I really appreciated.

However, for our takeaway, we ordered Onion Kulcha, and unfortunately, they were burnt as well. Since they were packed for takeaway, we didn’t notice until later, which was disappointing.

Overall, the food quality is excellent, and the staff is responsive, but I hope they pay more attention to baked items in the future, especially for takeaway orders.

Great food, clean refined Indian restaurant. Service was spot on.
I was with coworker & had him do all the ordering as he is more familiar with cusine than I. Goat meat was so tender, salad was refreshing. If I want to complain about one dish, it was cauliflower that I felt was more sweet and sour Chinese tasting, too sweet vs I was expecting Indian spices. Will return

I visited Taaza in Roanoke’s Grandin Village to celebrate my mother’s birthday. We ate lunch. On Sundays, lunch is served until 3. Then, Taaza closes until dinner hours begin at 4:30. The food was delicious and delivered quickly. I ate the Roasted Eggplant Bartha. The plating is more of a modern style. A variety of signature cocktails and mocktails are offered. If a dish is gluten free or vegan it is clearly labeled so on the menu. Several dishes were both gluten free AND vegan. Some street parking is available nearby, but paid parking is available right behind the restaurant. The server asked for the desired dish spiciness. I would suggest going for a lower level than you *think* you can tolerate (on a scale from 1-5).

Food was amazing I got the lamb Kurma, Rice, Bullet & Garlic Nan, and Mango Rasmalai. All very good.

It was just me and my wife so they put us in the window which was fine until they sat someone else behind us then it became very cramped.

What’s stopping me from coming back is the rice. Unfortunately this place does not do free refills on rice like other similar places in Roanoke. But the food here is still very good and worth a try if you have not been here yet.

Their food is delicious! Highly recommend. My bride isn’t one for spice, and even she enjoyed their food! Good for large or small parties, and their service is top notch. I didn’t once have to wait for a drink and my water stayed full. Plenty of options for any pallette. Lots of local area stuff to do where they’re located too. Give it a try!
