This is a hidden gem in Syracuse. A small unassuming building holding some of the best breakfast you can get, and the quantity for the money is outstanding.
Known for the “Whole Fritata “, you better bring your appetite. Adam Richman from TV’s Food Network came here for the whole Fritata challenge.

Very Chill Atmosphere! Everyone is welcoming and the waiters are friendly. They’ll make small talk and share a compliment. You don’t feel like an outsider here. Feels like family!

Get the Cuse Macmother. It’s a bacon, egg and cheese on French toast covered in powdered sugar and maple syrup. Best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. Combines my love of French toast and savory breakfasts. It’s a small hole in the wall spot, so be prepared to wait for a sit or order takeout.

If you’re a sandwich person, the MacMother is the best sausage egg cheese on bun I’ve ever tasted.
Prices are reasonable, total was $20.75 not including tip.
I was greeted upon entry and politely helped.
Seating is very very limited inside.
We ate outside because we had the dog but there are trees at edge of parking lot for some shade.
I felt safe here and will definitely come back next time in town.
Spouse has been coming here for 20 years and it’s always been good and delicious.

Mother’s Cupboard From the moment you walk in, you feel right at home. The staff is warm and welcoming, and the menu is full of comforting diner classics. I tried the pancakes, and they were absolutely delicious—fluffy and perfectly cooked. The portion sizes are generous, and everything was served hot and fresh. I have edited my review to 1 star- not because of the food or the service but because on Friday around 10 AM 12/5 I witnessed a male (likely in a supervisor role) VERBALLY ABUSE his female servers. He was swearing at them, berating them in front of customers and using sexist language. I want to support the women who work there but after seeing that I really question this establishment- what I witnessed was not okay by any means. I hope they address this person because it was so heartbreaking to hear.

Great menu of breakfast and lunch items, including specials on the whiteboard. I had eggs with kielbasa and home fries, with a side of corned beef hash. It was perfect. Big portions, tasty, no frills but lots of love. Decent prices too. I understand why this place is legendary.
