Simple issue turned into a big problem because of multiple failures.
I got Popeyes on Christmas Eve. They were closing early so I made sure I got there an hour early so nobody would have to be there long after close because of my order. I ordered on my phone. Got to the drive thru 12 minutes later and they told me they were out of Mac and cheese so they gave me rice instead. I understood because they were going to close in a hour. They then asked me to wait because the chicken wasn’t done. Also understood because of the situation. After 9 more minutes of waiting at the drive thru window, I got home with the food. The chicken tenders were fine but I got a sandwich. After a couple of bites that didn’t taste as good as I thought it would be, I looked at the sandwich and realized that it was pink and the texture of uncooked chicken. I obviously threw the rest of the sandwich away. I tried to contact support but it only goes through the app for contact and it was glitched and couldn’t pull up any items on the receipt. So I couldn’t put in a ticket. I found a contact online for a support email. I tried that route but it was for a different branch of Popeyes apparently that had a different support system. I put in the ticket (after they told me that they couldn’t) through the app in a different way because it was still glitched. I finally got a support person to email me and asked for a picture. I didn’t have a picture since it had been multiple days just to get a ticket in. The support person said they had to have a picture to do anything so they were closing the ticket that took me at least 30 minutes to get in without anything. I told them I’m not really surprised since the whole experience was turning into a nightmare.
Just know if you go to this location to make sure that the food is cooked. If it’s not, make sure you get pictures of everything. Also the app doesn’t work well with order history so you have to get creative.

I don’t go here for “atmosphere”. Only on occasion when I get a good coupon. I usually use the drive-thru. It’s quick, efficient, accurate orders, nice people, consistently great food! This time the drive through system was NOT working, with no signage or anything. I sat at the speaker for a long time met with silence. I eventually went inside to order. It was okay. The lady was still nice and helpful. I suggested posting signage for customers to notify them that drive-thru systems were down. She said nothing. But I’ll still be back. 4/5 stars! I like it!

Ordered takekout in the drive-thru. Everything was great. I thought the service was outstanding. My order was fulfilled quickly and accurately. The chicken was still hot when I got home, the spiciness was right, and the meat was moist! This store is a bit farther from my home. But it was definitely worth the drive.

The Smyrna Tn. location has been going downhill for some time now. After avoiding this location for several months due to bad service, I tried it again a couple weeks ago and was disappointed again. At the drive through the speaker did not work and I could barely hear a meek voice. I pulled to the window and tried to order and they took my card and did not open the window for at least 5 to 7 minutes only claiming that their system was offline. Then told me that it would be another 10 minutes for a simple chicken sandwich order. So I then just asked for my money back. The manager was rude and had to give me cash since the system was still down. This location has the most poorly trained employees, their CC machine and POS are broken very often it seems. The food is mediocre if you ever get it. I have had tenders that are mostly bread and almost no chicken. I will probably never go there again since this is only one of many bad experiences here over the last few years. Very sad since other locations seem to know how to run a restaurant. The owners need to hire better managers and employees. It would not surprise me if this location closes. I mean how do you screw up fried chicken??

We enjoy going to Popeyes every now and then and today was one of those days but we hadn’t ever been to this location.
Unfortunately the service and the process of how things were being done made it extremely slow for everyone waiting on their food. There was no communication to us or the other that the spicy chicken had a 15 min wait. The food was okay when we got to eat but not impressed especially for the high pricing compared to other chicken places.
One of the employees tried to make it up by bringing spicy chicken out later on for us which was nice and appreciated but it was too late for us.
It was okay but if there was more communication on their process in the kitchen it would prevent a lot of the things from today.

This has got to be one of the worst popeyes I have ever experienced. We asked for fresh chicken and were served a doughy mess..and the pitiful thing about this the manager put this food in our bag. The standards at this location are terrible…can yall please send some corporate executives to see what the public are being served at this location.

I patronize the Popeye’s restaurant in Smyrna TN a couple of times a month, usually after church lets out. I live a few miles outside town and to this point haven’t checked my order before leaving the restaurant as I get my food for takeout. Today was 2 large red beans and rice and a chicken sandwich.
When I got home I realized I had only gotten about 2/3 of a cup of the red beans and rice and most of it was rice. I live far enough away that I’m not going to drive back to the restaurant to get it corrected. For the price that this restaurant is charging for the food I expect to get a generous portion and I did not today. My rating reflects that and I will think twice before going there again. Things have happened with my orders in the past and I believe this will be my last visit there. Food’s good, people are friendly enough but the prices are too high for getting shorted in my orders.

This is an order i had ordered at 6 pm. I go to this popeyes cause i prefer this over other restaurants around in this area. My picture below shows receipt shows I ordered a Big Box Special (what I ordered) verses what I got (a thigh and a leg) with fries and Cajun rice. Which wasted in my bag and had grease everywhere. Customer service is vwry very poor at this location! It’s not like it was when I 1st started coming here years ago. Staff don’t care about being nice, don’t care about saying thank you, and just overall have an awful disposition! Smh! It’s sad how customers are treated so rudely, from management on down.

Manager please hire more employees. Drive through could not accept coupons had to come inside to wait 15+ min just to get my order. Workers inside was working many positions at a time trying to get both drive thru and FC going but still significantly behind. Low on many items.

workers mostly are disrespectful and dont hear their customers out, we specifically said on our custom order online NO WINGS and all spicy, we arrived to the popeyes and they didnt have the food prepared which is fine i guess, we wait for like 30 minutes later and they STILL DID NOT have the food ready and then they say that we have to wait 20 more minutes? like are you actually being serious and then they say we can take 50/50, so we just took whatever and then we arrive to the house, literally half the box is filled with wings, like we specifically said NO WINGS on the online order and infront of your faces like how could you possibly mess that up? plus we order popeyes for chicken not for just bones (the wings is basically just bone) DONT RECOMMEND coming here.
