Love love love places like this!!

They don’t exist anymore and the people are what make it.
To many times corporate America destroys main Street and places like this can’t compete.

Not sure when this place was started but this is classic American

Good old fashion diner where the prices don’t break the bank ! ; and people still get treated like people with there super friendly attentive staff.

Plus the decore rocks, local artist!

Cafe Creekside is a really great place to eat. The inside is very nice, clean, and welcoming, and it has a cozy feel that makes you want to stay and enjoy your meal. It’s the kind of place that feels comfortable whether you’re going with friends, family, or just stopping in for yourself.
The food was really good and tasted fresh and well made. Everything came out just right, and you could tell they put care into how they make their meals. It’s the kind of food that leaves you satisfied and already thinking about coming back.
Overall, I’d give Cafe Creekside 5 stars. Between the nice atmosphere and the good food, it’s a place that’s definitely worth visiting again.

Food was good but you have to wait a bit! Nice service and we got complimentary muffins for the wait. We had French toast, traditional breakfast and work nans breakfast and everything was good. It was seasoned and cooked perfectly. It was worth the wait.

The roller coasters of emotions my husband and I went through in the 2 hours (yes two hours) we spent here was insane. We walked in thinking wow this place is so cute and quaint. We didn’t have to wait long to be seated, which is usually a good sign. Pretty much from there on it was downhill. I kid you not we waited OVER an hour with a one year old for run of the mill eggs. The place is small and has few servers which I completely Understand but for a couple eggs and pancakes to take more than 20 minutes to cook is just ridiculous.

What really irritated me though and prompted me to right this review (which I have literally never done before) is not once did our server come to our table and apologize for our meal taking so so sooooo long. Which tells me this is a normal experience eating at this restaurant. Do with this what you will but this was a one and done spot for me and I am typically very easily pleased.

Also ps not family friendly no changing table for littles in either of the bathrooms.

We stopped by for a Sunday morning breakfast before going to the airport. It’s a family run operation, just walk in and seat yourself. We are from a rural area and searched out a cool local place close to where we needed to be. I tend to overlook anomalies in small operations like that, and there were none here to report anyway. Waitstaff was spot-on, refills were endless, and the food was excellent. Great neighborhood feel…Will return if we ever get the chance. Very nice people. I recommend!

Creekside Cafe in Downtown Gahanna is a charming, family-owned diner that truly embodies the hometown feel. My wife and I visited on a busy Friday morning, so the place was packed. To avoid a long wait, we opted to sit at the counter, which was a great choice given the cafe’s cozy size. Despite the rush, the staff was attentive and handled everything with care once they got to us.

I ordered the Farmer’s Omelette with a side of redskin potatoes, Texas toast, and an add-on of bacon. I have to say, it was one of the best omelettes I’ve ever had—flavorful, perfectly cooked, and incredibly satisfying. The potatoes were also cooked to perfection. This place is a gem, and I’ll definitely be back to try more from their menu!

Update: Still good and I also recommend the patty melt & the potatoes….again.

A good place for a fresh breakfast. Very good and warm team, great service! Breakfast came out hot, scrambled eggs, cooked perfect, and with excellent potatoes with jalapeños.

I dont enjoy writing reviews that are rated well, yet I felt the need here !
The menu looked great, so we were looking forward to it, but they were out of all types of food items, straws, ice, and even cold water in the bathroom!!
We all enjoyed the waffle fries, onion rings. The club sandwich was good, but the burger patties were not good at all and lacked seasons, filled with meat filler / pre-frozen.
The service was very average, and besides having to walk a few businesses down to buy two cups of ice for the tea’s
They never offered refills.
This could be a great little restaurant, which I suspect was back in the day
My guess is that breakfast is the best time to go assuming they are well stocked and service running well

What a fantastic experience! Food was outstanding. Service was out of this world. Friendly staff. Family owned. One of the best breakfasts I have ever had. Very clean, and cozy. Can’t wait to try out the patio that overlooks the creek. If you are in the area, try it. You will not be disappointed. Thank you to everyone that made this a great dining experience. You are the best!
