I have been coming here for years now and when the HEAD CHEF is there the food is 10/5 – perfection, delicious every time. The best hakka food you will eat.
BUT they have new chefs and the two times when i’ve gotten take out and they cooked – the food was not the best, either too much masala and seasoning where it is overpowering OR no flavor at all and it tastes like nothing. Also the rice was not cleaned properly and so i could taste that.
I feel like the new/other chefs need to be trained to follow the head chef’s recipe exactly. I sincerely request management to please look into this. The head chef is an amazing chef and the food is perfect – please train the other chefs to follow.
You can instantly tell when the head chef prepares it vs others. If you are lucky enough to go in when the head chef is there – be ready for the best hakka food you’ll taste in the GTA. Otherwise, prepare for dissatisfaction, unfortunately (in my opinion), only the head chef makes the food well and perfectly.
I also got the wrong order twice but they were kind enough to say they would prepare the meal for me next time.
Overall the staff are very kind and professional. I always bring all my friends and guests here for the authentic hakka taste. They also give free fortune cookies and enough sauce/tissues. I think usually the head chef is there during the week days so i’ve been lucky enough for the food to be good.

Love the food, it is amazing! Chicken is great, crispy and the gravy is amazing! One of the best chilli chicken Ive had before. Only feedback is that there is a lot more chicken than rice. If there was a little more rice, this would have been the perfect meal. But outside of that, I definitely recommend coming to this spot!

Great place for Indo-Chinese food. Veg Schezwan noodles was delicious. Veg manchurian balls were crispy and the gravy was yum. Veg fried rice was a hit among the kids. Will definitely recommend this place for a family lunch/dinner. Would love to visit again and try other dishes.

Had some supplements to be picked up from Healthy Planet and just stumbled upon Hakka Fresh accidently and Oh My God, my momos craving got satisfied to the core and I would now be a regular at this place for sure. Was always looking for momos with authentic filling and finally found a spot in burlington, surely their other offerings would be top notch as well. Can not go wrong with these prices and quality! Best Hakka food, insane flavours. Hot and sour soup is homey and authentic, I am SUCH a fan. Garlic beef is seasoned to perfection, and cooked perfectly. Everything goes together great and it keeps me coming back for more. Great experience every time!

Very tasty Hakka food! My favourite dish had to be the crispy ginger beef. It was super crispy and the meat itself was still tender. Some Hakka places the beef becomes super dried out and it becomes hard to chew. Hakka noodle was delicious! Chili chicken and vegetable Manchurian were decent.
The dishes are definitely on the less spicy side from what I am used too in Hakka cuisine but the overall flavours of the dish make up for it. It’s definitely an enjoyable spice level for a lot of difference spice tolerance levels.
Dishes are priced very well. Fair price and good portion sizes.

Highly disappointed with the takeout quantity. Seems the same rice that fed 4 ppl in person only feed 2 when you take it home. Good food, can do better by keep quantity consistent as someone who enjoys your food.
It’s funny, I mentioned it to the waitress and she confidently said I can’t bring out the plate to compare and awkwardly I was like maybe I am wrong but nope, just another example of prices going up but quantity going down.
