Another gem among many in this area! This is definitely my favorite cafe around, I visit again and again with friends, and always recommend it to peers around me.
The coffee has always been amazing, whether its from their regular or seasonal menu. The food is fantastic as well! Can be shared or eaten alone, depending on how hungry you are.
I often see people with a laptop, notebook, sketchbook, or even reading material. It’s a great place to relax, sip on a coffee, tea, or smoothie, have a quick meal, and lounge back while doing work or even just to gossip with friends!

Every time I’ve visited Cafe Rhema I’ve been more than impressed! The sandwiches are great, the coffee is spectacular and the waffles are out of this world! We visited recently with my mother and father in law and they both wouldn’t stop talking about how great everything was!
My mother in law ordered a Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso, which she usually gets from Starbucks and absolutely loves, but once she tasted the drink from Cafe Rhema she said it was the best coffee drink she has ever had! We also ordered the Maple Bacon Waffle and it was unreal! The waffle was perfect, the bacon was salty with a touch of spice and the ice cream on top pulled everything together!
This place is a true gem! If you are in Michigan, you need to stop at Cafe Rhema! The live music was great as well!

Cafe Rhema has delicious food + tasty beverages. The building is accessible & the decor is tasteful, cozy, and vintage. It’s a wonderful place for a date, a quiet business meeting, a journaling sesh, or just a good cup of coffee. The staff are so friendly and the owner is kind. I really enjoyed conversing with the barista Kathleen, she was so friendly and even brought my food and smoothie out to me. Thanks for the great service! Highly recommend!

We came in thinking we’d be in and out in 30 min and ended up over an hr just to feed 7 people. All of our meals came one at a time and the last 2 people were completely skipped. They were serving people that showed up and ordered 15 min later than us and when we brought it up, they said “oh, we’re sure it’s almost ready.” That was followed by 5 minutes later that “the receipt got missed” and they were going “as quick as we can.” When we pointed out we had places to be, she got defensive saying there were only 3 of them and they were doing the best they could. The thing is, at the beginning the one lady had whispered to the other “with a party this size, it’ll take 45 minutes, tell them.” I heard the whisper and the girl at the register did NOT relay that to us so I figured maybe they were talking about a different party. I guess not. The food was perfectly fine, the service just sucked and there was no accountability on their end. And for us all pre tipping at the start (as they have you tip at the register) They never once stopped in on us to check in on us or offer refills (three of us had empty waters for over 40 min.) Not impressed at all. Never got a single “enjoy” or “you’re welcome” after we said thank you each time something came out. Would not recommend based on service.
