Great, great, great! Love this place! Super omelette, very moist with perfectly sauteed veggies. Great coffee. Super friendly service! Will definitely return any time I need breakfast on the way home from Logan!!

The best burger I’ve ever had in my life. Great quality ingredients. Very good environment. Great service. Smiling waiters. The prices are so low that you bend down to the floor to see them.

Love this diner, they always have good food. But service took so long to get to us. We waited 30 minutes just to find the waiter to be able to order our food. The food was great, definitely recommend it, their sausage and pancakes were fantastic. Definitely recommend going on a slower day .

We chose this place randomly, as it was the closest to our home. The café is nice, but the food was very basic, rather dry, and lacked a modern touch. The price didn’t match the quality — it felt overpriced.

Our last stop before we flew back home from Boston, and it didn’t disappoint!
Service was a bit slow (& they weren’t that busy- I think it was just our server…), but the atmosphere was nice and the food was pretty good. I got the salmon bagel and he told the server to surprise him with some thing. I don’t remember what it was called, but he said it was good. Nothing special, the meat was a bit bland, but enough salt and hot sauce and he said it was fine! The salmon bagel was good tho- as was the hot cocoa 🙂

Just visited Saugus Iron works, seemed fitting to eat here. We look for diners to patronize and weren’t disappointed with this one. Food was delicious and portions were perfect.

I want to start by saying that Irontown Diner is a great place. The food is usually very good, the waitstaff is always pleasant, and I’m a regular customer. There really isn’t anything else around that compares, and I genuinely enjoy coming here.
That said, over the past month the music has been extremely loud—almost like a club—especially during breakfast hours. Several people around us were complaining that they couldn’t hear each other speak. I’ve also noticed the food has been coming out cold on multiple visits. While it still tastes good, cold eggs, hash browns, and toast aren’t ideal.
I’m only sharing this because I truly like the place and the people who work here. I hope these are temporary issues and things get back to what longtime, loyal customers have always appreciated.

After a 15 minute wait we were seated. Instantly greeted by the world’s friendliest server Hopper. He looks like an actor from a Disney Channel sitcom. Super nice, funny and efficient. He quickly took our orders, didn’t bat an eye at us ordering 5 different plates of food. Everything looked incredible on the menu, heck people’s food at different tables looked amazing hence the ordering of massive amount of food. I ordered the Harvest Hash. Maple sausage, butternut squash, fig compote and caramelized onions. It was the perfect blend of sweet and savory. It came accompanied with potatoes, and eggs. Ate every bite and wished I had 2 stomachs to order another serving. Country breakfast was fantastic, the country fried steak was cooked to perfection. The chicken and waffles were fantastic, waffles fluffy, the chicken extra crispy. The eggs combo was fantastic with 4 pieces of perfectly cooked bacon. Last but not least were the pumpkin pecan pancakes. These were the best, sweetly spiced with vanilla and cinnamon. the pecans, crunchy throughout the pancake. The kicker of this? All that food plus coffees was less than 90. They have a rewards program which I signed up for. This will be my to go to place when I’m in Boston from now on.

Iron town used to be one of my favorite spots to have breakfast but it has definitely gone downhill unfortunately. It’s usually a long wait because it’s a popular spot but the quality of the food doesn’t match the price point. The last two times I got the eggs Benedict it wasn’t hot. Just something to look into for future guests! Also, the bathrooms are usually messy and we had little fruit flies while we were trying to eat. I didn’t complain to anyone so I can’t comment on how management would address the situation. The taste of the food is usually good and our server was nice but would look into adjusting some of those things!

Ordered the lox n bagel plate. It appeared nice but once I took a bite I almost spit it out. The lox edges were incredibly hard and when I say edges it expanded into a good portion of each, it felt like hard plastic. Nobody wants to eat bad fish, could’ve been sick after that. Brought it to the waitresses attention, she stuck her right in my plate and felt the hardness, agreed it was unacceptable. Meanwhile my husband was most done with his buger, but he wanted me to order something. I ended up ordering a meatloaf melt which was a huge mistake, but I felt very rushed as the waitress stood there so I just picked what I could read off the specials board. It tasted like something you’d get in the hospital and the color was grey, the texture was terrible. I ate half of a half as to not seem picky. I didn’t expect anything as compensation but they gave me a free cup of coffee..that was a bit of a smack in the face for serving me old fish. The prices are too high here as it is and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go.
