I stopped by Casa Machado today, and it ended up being a great choice. Even though I drove in, the restaurant sits right next to the FBO, so you still get that unique airport vibe and a clear view of the planes coming in and out — it gives the whole place a cool, relaxed atmosphere.
The food was solid, the place feels welcoming, and the service was on point. Junior took great care of me — friendly, attentive, and genuinely focused on making sure I had a good experience. That kind of customer service really stands out.
If you’re in the area and want good food, a great airport/FBO view, and top-notch service, Casa Machado is definitely worth the stop. Highly recommend it.

Killer locals spot. The food is just ok, im comparing this to other up scale Mexican spots, like Miguel’s. I really like the green salsa. The taquitos were bland. We got the cheese burgers. Thats right. Always good at Mexican restaurants if offered. The fries and thin and crispy. The fajitas are good. The view of planes landing and taking off is absolutely amazing! Thats why I’ve been coming back for 20 years. Service always good

I have this chance to go this restaurant with my colleagues for lunch break. I was impressed by the view of airport right next to this space. Which is rarely seen in the city. The restaurant is on upper floor.
The girl at the front desk was so friendly, she helped us to find a big table for 8 people. I ordered Carne Asada plate. It was great & fresh. best part was the portion of food was huge. For this reason I didn’t use flour tortilla. Overall everything was great. I like that. Also it has enough parking spots.
The only things that I was expecting to taste better was meat, it was a little bit dry. You can see the dryness on the picture. I didn’t say how I wanna the meat serve for me.
I’ll go with 5-star.

Our sun is obsessed with the movie planes, and any time we are driving down the road and he sees a plane he has to point it out! And he is good! Half the time I have to look for a minute to see them lol. The food was pretty damn good, and the drinks were fantastic! The service was good as well, friendly and responsive staff, that were quick with food and drinks. The atmosphere was awesome!! We sat out in the first open porch area, we wanted a booth, but seating is first come first serve and unfortunately we didn’t get it this time. That is okay though, because with how good things were, we will 1000% be back! They do a weekly daily special and there is a happy hour from like 3pm to 9pm or something crazy awesome like that.
Go check them out, especially if your kids are anything like my oldest, and love airplanes!

Didn’t know what to expect when the gps said we arrived and we were at one of the San Diego smaller airports. Do NOT be deceived by that. Go inside and go upstairs to a fantastic Mexican restaurant. The servers were friendly the portions were big enough that I think we all took some food home with us because we couldn’t eat it all. The prices were reasonable and I would definitely go back there!

Their mole is like a dark chocolate and is no joke! Delicious, but not for the feint of heart. It’s spicy and bitter.
Their burritos were huge and their green sauce was delicious. Got the barria tacos as an app and they did not disappoint.
