I love Bamboo Sushi!! My daughter and I are pretty much regulars their at this point! I’m not going to lie!! We go and eat here at least once a week! We love getting the plain Siybua noodles that comes with a light seasoned brown sauce, Steak rice plate and a sushi roll as there are so many options to choose from and don’t even get me started on their crab salad, oh my gosh!! Straight Fiyyahh!! I highly recommend this place! From time to time it can be pretty busy in there and the wait time for your food can take longer then normal, but that’s a good thing because it’s made to order, So when your food comes out it will be fresh and hot but that’s only busy hours which is really dinner time throughout the week/wkends. We go in there on a Saturday afternoon, no wait, no line, food comes out after a few minutes! The staff is very helpful and patient and always stays busy taking care of the customers and the restaurant.

Awesome sushi. Although had to wait over an hour on our rolls. They were so backed up. Atmosphere was great and friendly. They were super busy in defense.

Not the best place, not the worst place, but definitely expensive for the food that we got. One of us ordered the spring rolls, which said 6 pieces. There were 6 pieces alright. 3 full spring rolls cut in half to a total of 6 pieces!! There wasn’t an actual hibachi setting where they cooked in front of you, but when ordering hibachi, I assumed the vegetables were going to be what we usually get at the actual hibachi. Instead, I paid extra money for lettuce. We didn’t order the most expensive roll because it was $40, but im so glad we didnt. I went with a group of 7 people, and we all left hungry, so it was NOT worth the money!

I went to this place because it was close to our hotel and wasn’t expecting much. I was wrong, it’s not at all like the express Habachi I was thinking of. They had a great menu, nice staff, fast service and a nice atmosphere. I ate with my kids and we had kids steak, house salad, pork dumplings and a volcano roll. The dumplings were our favorite but everything was great!

Really, really nice. Everything was delicious and the staff was a lively, attentive bunch. I had the panko fried shrimp and a bacon avocado roll that was perfect. My friend…? Well he ate so fast I couldn’t get a photo… guess he also liked it 🙂

My buddy and his wife love Bamboo and, since I owed him a dinner, I suggested that we have dinner here.
Prior to reading my review, I need to disclose to my readers that, ever since I’ve returned from two trips to Japan, I’m very picky about my sushi/Japanese food. It’s probably not fair to use these places I’ve eaten in Japan as a marker for rating sushi bars in the US. However, it does influence my opinions, unfortunately.
The environment is well lit and fairly open. There is 80’s music playing at a decent level but wasn’t too loud in my opinion.
Seat yourself and browse the menu. Then, once ready to order, walk up to the cash registers and place your food order with the cashier. You order your drinks as well.
The menu is fairly extensive. One thing that I do not like about Japanese restaurants in the United States is that they try to offer everything. Instead of getting good at just one niche. So, accordingly, they offer hibachi entrees, ramen, appetizers, including tempura, edamame, etc.
We ordered edamame and vegetable tempura as apps for the table. The edamame was great. I was not impressed, however with the tempura. Tempura batter should be very light….read “thin.” These veggies looked like they were bathed in pancake batter and plopped into the fryer. This as a deck of cards, they had so much batter it was tough to find the food. Seriously, disappointed as I was craving some deep fried veggies, Japanese style.
For entrees, I ordered the sashimi dinner. It came with miso soup, steamed rice and 9oz. of fresh fish on an oblong chilled platter topped over a mound of Diakon radish curls and micro greens. Well presented, it was quite pretty. The fish was tasty, fresh and delicious. It was priced a bit high at $30. I thought it was interesting that the menu denoted the actual weight of the fish. This is definitely a US thing as you would never see this type of thing in Japan. My friend’s wife had the Filet mignon hibachi dinner and for $1 more, substituted the fried rice for the gratis steamed variety. It also came with stir fried veggies. She was quite pleased with her meal and finished all the meat and veggies leaving half the rice. My buddy, ordered three rolls. He prefers the soy wrappers over the traditional seaweed/nori sushi wrappers. Why? You ask? Well, so do I. He’s picky as they come! That’s all I’ll say about that.
They had half off hot sake on Mondays, which was nice and it was tasty as well; pairing nicely with the fresh fish. We also ordered a couple beers. My friend’s wife wanted the Yuzu flavored rice wine. While it was tasty, the $25/12oz was quite off-putting. I can’t recommend it based on the price.
Overall food was pretty decent minus the tempura which needs serious help.
With tip the bill for three came out to over $175.00. This left me feeling a bit beat up and realizing that, in my opinion, the restaurant is fairly overpriced.
Food: 3.5/5
Service: 5/5
Ambiance: 3/5
Price: 2/5

This is literally like our favorite lunch and dinner spot. When my mom came into town last month I took her and she got so sick from the tuna roll and seaweed salad. She was puking the rest of the day and night. I thought it was just her not feeling well. My husband refuses to order sushi from there after he got sick back in the summer. Still I thought it was just his belly. I ate dinner there last night ordered the TNT roll as always and a salad. The tuna had a funny smell and was a darker red than normal but I went ahead and ate it. I have never been so sick in my entire life!!!!!!! We will NEVER eat at this establishment again. After reading some reviews my family and I are not the only ones getting sick. I am disgusted with this restaurant and hope whoever comes in to inspect shuts this place down!!!!! DO NOT EAT HERE AND CHANCE IT!!!!
