When we first drove by Saffron, there were barely any cars in the parking lot, I think maybe one. We honestly weren’t sure what to expect. But the second we walked in and smelled the food, everything changed. It smelled absolutely amazing.
The restaurant itself is clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Nothing flashy, just a relaxed atmosphere that lets the food be the star. As we were sitting down to dine, a family came in with their kids to eat, which instantly made it feel even more inviting and homey.
We decided to give it a try and ordered a variety of dishes, and everything was delicious. The curries were rich and flavorful, the rice perfectly cooked, and the naan fresh and soft. The fried appetizers were crisp and packed with flavor. But those vegetables on the sizzling platter? Incredible. Perfectly seasoned with just the right char. We could not stop talking about them.
From the friendly service to the food with the incredible aromas the moment you walk in, Saffron truly exceeded our expectations!
We honestly couldn’t stop talking about how good the food was. This is one of those places you’re just glad you stopped in to dine. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in Waco.

The butter chicken was creamy and comforting, the beef karahi had a wonderful depth of flavor, and the chicken biryani was aromatic and satisfying. The garlic naan was soft, warm, and the perfect companion to scoop up all that flavorful sauce.

Visiting Waco, Texas, and this Restaurant was recommended to us. Boy Does this place hit the spot. Can’t say enough good about the tastes & flavors! You will not be disappointed whatsoever. Food is absolutely terrific and the service was Excellent as well. We like this place so much, we had to come back for a second try having something totally different. The curry is fantastic. Highly highly recommend!

We just love it at Safron. The dishes are so delicious with the perfect amount of fresh spices cooked to perfection. The naan bread is so fresh and fabulous. We had the beef Samosas and they were crispy, hot and delicious. I had the Beef Karahi and my husband had the chicken Karahi. Both dishes did not disappoint, perfect amount of heat that doesnt over power the flavor . I highly recommend this restaurant.

It’s conveniently located in Waco in a shopping area. Lots of parking. The place was practically empty. My parent was on a walker and it took him a bit to get to the table. However in that time the server didn’t even come to offer us water or anything. We asked for cups.
My dad had to use the washroom and the servers found it very funny when the man was struggling to get out of the place.
Food was okay. Kids chicken and rice = shredded chicken + rice. Our kids didn’t eat it. The veg biryani had over cooked vegetables and tasted like meat. The kadai paneer was good.

The Chicken boti was very very yum!
To my taste bud goat biryani was average but the goat meat was tender and juicy. Their naan and butter chicken was too good too. They get quite busy as well and food can come a little late since they will be freshly made.

Probably the best Indian restaurant in Waco. Food lovers craving for some spicy food definitely had to try the dishes in this restaurant. You can find the usual Indian dishes like butter chicken, paneer butter masala.. but i would recommend you to try other varieties especially related to chicken, beef, goat. Has large vegetarian section and forget to savour some drinks from their bar.
