Pancakes were really good, the best part of the meal.
I also had the Chicken fried steak with eggs and hash browns. Unfortunately the hash browns felt like they were not cooked right, very watery and not even warm. The chicken fried steak was ok, the edge of it was really hard, like almost way overcooked. That is why I gave it a 3 out of 5.

Great hidden gem in the community! Went there twice while in town on business from the East Coast. Service was great except both nights we were given our bills before we could debate over desert (and man did they have some good looking ones.) I got the prime rib dinner both nights (yes, it was that good!) I had it with the deep fried onion haystacks & side salad, then with the baked potato and side salad. Also ordered the mushrooms appetizer. I brought some co-workers out on the second night. Definitely worth going back. Now, I gave 5-stars on the atmosphere because it is a bare-bones mom & pops type of place, and that’s what we were looking for…good local cookin’ with local atmosphere, not upscale snooty stuff. The place was clean as well. Definitely stop in when you’re in town.

Had a tasty dinner here. The waiter was friendly & helpful. The green chili burrito was tasty – green chili was flavorful & mild. The onion rings were delish!! Fresh & hot. Burger was cooked just right. I highly recommend this diner if you’re traveling along I70.

Great breakfast! Big portions and really good flavors.
Big menu with lots of options to choose from. We had French toast, “The steamboat” omelette and the breakfast burrito – it’s huge! and the green chile sauce is not hot but it’s good.

Breakfast was good. Large portions. Skillet was very good. Chicken fried steak was good. Gravy, hash-browns and eggs needed salt. A little bland, but well prepared. Pancakes were light and fluffy and smelled like vanilla, but were flavorless. Could have also benefited from a pinch of salt and maybe sugar. Syrup didn’t really help. Service was excellent. Atmosphere was lacking but the place was functional and clean. A good bet for the price.

I was just not impressed with my food for over $100 worth of food, I was not happy. I had the prime rib, it was very gritty and dry. I asksd for it to be thrown on the grill and the server looked at me dumb, the fryes was over cooked and ribs was very dry and taste old. Something slowly cooked should be super tender and none of the meat was. Don’t get me started on the server. She was super rude, and actted like it was an inconvenience for us to order a lot of food. Guess they didnt care to take our money she could not work in my restaurant. Not happy at all. For what its worth the restaurant was clean and well put together.

Traveling through the area and needed gas. It seemed that the only options were fast food but after a quick google search, I found this diner and was intrigued by their menu! I am so glad we went! Our server, Sandy was so nice and did a great job! My meal was delicious! I got a pork carnitas breakfast skillet. The pork had great flavor and the potatoes had a good texture. If ever in the area again, we will definitely come back and have Sandy wait on us!

Stopped in here on a whim after the morning car show in Strasburg; this place was ‼️ worth pulling off the highway for. The service was oldskool friendly, the food was AWESOME and priced fairly. Hostess was quick and promptly sat us and got us our drinks. The server was not the friendliest nor the quickest, another server brought us our food, which was very good. Our original server, checked on us once, refilled my husbands tea, did not offer nor did he refill my empty water. Had to find him and ask for the check and flag down another server to ask where to pay. Our bill was $57, we laid down $80, and he thought “apparently” the change was for him. We are pretty healthy tippers, I was a server for 17 years, but, a $22 tip on mediocre service???
