My toddler loved the play place. It was clean and safe. The service was great. They even bring your food to your table. The only downside was the kids milk. It wasn’t expired, but tasted and smelled like it had gone a bit sour.

We were served by this sweet guy named Jack just now in Mcdo Sunrise, Citrus Heights branch. Very polite, always smiling and very approachable guy. He’s very attentive when I asked a question about the ordering using my apps. He’s very attentive and has this “ready to help” kind of attitude. We frequent McDonald’s because our ausome kids loved the French fries and so far this guy excels in his service. A true asset.

I bought a coffee, paid almost $3, said – 10 sugar outside! She immediately brought me someone else’s coffee and said that there were already 3 sugars in it! What??? Why? Why do I need someone else’s coffee? She brought something else. I told her to give me sugar too. She dumped the sugar on a very dirty table – this is the first McDonald’s with such a dirty table! And napkins and sugar on a dirty table! Does it mean that I won’t carry sugar in my hands? I pay money for this – why didn’t you put it in a bag?! Your intelligence should be enough for such a job to understand that a person shouldn’t carry sugar in a handful? The same with napkins! Does it mean that I won’t stir the sugar with my fingers? I tell her again to give me a stick. She threw it at me and started arguing with me and mimicking my English! Maybe something else, but I buy coffee every day 3-5 cups in different McDonald’s, but I’ll have to look for other places! No one has badges! You ruined my mood this morning! Apparently no one values their job at McDonald’s anymore and they hire people who are incapable of simple things! If this miserable bag costs money, you should include it in the price and instruct your staff!! 1 star is too much!

The people we’re friendly and the lady who took my order let me make a custom milkshake and she was very helpful with it. The atmosphere?…… bathrooms or a little dirty. About the employees were very nice

Recently ordered from this location, I requested a plain cheeseburger with only meat and cheese, the order was prepared incorrectly and included onions. This is a basic modification, and the repeated inability to follow it is frustrating. Consistency and accuracy should be standard, but that was not the case here. I really don’t understand how people think it’s okay to just ignore simple requests. MEETING BASIC STANDARDS SHOULD NOT BE THIS DIFFICULT. It is concerning (and just plain disrespectful) when unwanted ingredients are added to an order, as this disregards customer preferences and dietary needs. Requests for simple items should be respected and followed as ordered.

I’ve never made a review on a fast food place until now. Mc donalds is always on top of things, until today. Sat 6th of December 2025.
I’ve ordered a breakfast and it did not come with one of the items I ordered. I’ve gotten a refund and then used that refund to re-order something else. That second order came and the drink was supposed to be a frozen cola and it came foamy and the liquid was black.
I am quite unsure how any other time I’ve ordered from them that this time was worse.
My honest and true words are, if you are unable to maintain a morning shift that’s extremely busy, please do not take them on and find a different shift. This will save yourself from multiple complaints amongst others.

Best McDonald’s in citrus heights and it has a play area. The staff was polite the the booths were clean. The food was brought out to us in a timely manner and was made to order.

Well if you come here right now, you should know that it’s drive thru and curbside pickup only. They closed dine in ordering for some reason. I thought all fast food places open their dine in now but this Mcdonald location is not one of them. I was going to do curbside pickup but I heard from my cousin that they are very slow and they put you after the drive thru order. So I went to the drive thru line to get my 20 pcs chicken nuggets and 3 large fries. I told them I just wanted ketchup as my sauce. The drive thru line took forever, like 25 minutes. When I got to the pickup window, they give me BBQ sauce when I said I wanted ketchup so I had to ask for some. The lady apologized and said they were really back up and there a ketchup shortage. When I got back home to eat my food, the fries were very Crispy and salty so they weren’t the delicious fries I’m used to.

Had lunch here with my first grade class in 1981. I miss the playground. I had a cheeseburger, small fries, and a coke. My brother worked here as an after school job a few hours per week. Back then the whole lunch was a little over $1.
