It was ok. Some things to note try and bring cash because they charge 3.5% to use card. Seating is seat yourself. The meal I got was a bit disappointing you don’t get bread with the roast beef meal, says you can request rolls but they were all out. But with the prices of the meals being so expensive I was afraid to get a piece of bread. They were very stingy with the fries considering the price you pay for the meal. On the plus side it was hot and tasted good. I think locals get first service since people came after us and got their food first. Our waitress was nice and partially attentive. The atmosphere was very cluttered with tables almost on top if each other, you gotta squeeze by if their are people in the seats. Also when you go into the bathroom area there’s no A.C. So the heat almost knocks you out, since we went in a balmy summer day. One thing also to point out to the owner that second dinging room area smells bad like must, you may wannna get rid of that old dresser because I’m pretty sure the stench was coming from that. Now after my experience I’d say I’d not recommend.

Rural Hometown Diner. Food was good. Employees were very laid back. Too comfortable. One young man looked to young to be employed. Breakfast for sure. Dinner I’d be more skeptical. Breakfast shown was $20 bucs

A must stop location. Do not underestimate the winds and fries. The burger was made the way I wanted it. The salad was made fresh. Ham and potato soup were good and big chunks of potatoes. You will have to add salt and pepper to your liking. They make the food fast. We also ordered take-home food.

Stopped there on the way home after dropping the youngest off at college. It has a down home atmosphere and cool decor. Our server Julie was fantastic. Very friendly and welcoming. The menu is varied and we had breakfast. The portion sizes were very good with a reasonable price. Everything was cooked perfectly and quickly. We will be stopping again in the future. If you want great, no nonsense food don’t hesitate to stop in.
12/7 Stopped in for dinner. Fantastic food as always! Had the ribs. Very tasty, fall off the bone. Prices were good. The waitress was fantastic! She took care of my wife’s request for chicken broth due to food restrictions with great empathy. My wife said it was tasty. Definitely going to continue to stop in when in area. Thanks again!

The food was absolutely excellent. I had the trucker meal. The eggs and ham were fantastic. The potatoes were fairly standard. The buckwheat pancakes were incredible. This place is well worth visiting regardless of my experience with our service.

As is pretty standard for a casual breakfast place, we were told to “sit anywhere”. My father is not a terribly perceptive man sometimes, and he chose a table that was pre-set for “2 tables, 8 people”. The only indication of this was a receipt that I’ve attached as a photo. This was apparently a problem despite the appointed time for that reservation being more than 2 hours after we arrived, and 96 minutes after we left. This caused our waitress great distress. She immediately jumped into some sort of panic mode that caused her to be in a rush for the entirety of our visit. I would mention the waitress’s name, but they apparently do not wear name tags here. She never mentioned her name due to the aforementioned panic. At no point was this grave issue mentioned to us, nor were we asked to pick a different seat.

Obviously the original issue was caused by my father, but no attempt was made by the waitress to fix the issue other than to give us very sub-par service. I sure do hope she managed to recover in the bare 96 minutes she had to prepare for that group of 8. That could be career-defining!

Outstanding example of what a local PA diner should be. Food, desserts, service, and atmosphere were outstanding. The experience was like sitting in a piece of active history. I went out of my way to stop here for breakfast after a weekend of backpacking, I seriously considered staying for lunch as well.

I stopped by for some to-go food. The menu looked amazing for breakfast options, but I was there for some chili. I decided to save the chili for later and added a philly cheesesteak wrap with fries to take out for my lunch. I like that being a wrap is an options so there’s less bread, but sadly, wasn’t provided with ketchup though I’d asked. The cheese steak was a good amount and tender but it was kind of dry except where the little but of cheese was. Probably nicer to eat in. Later, I had the chili. It has a nice flavor: not too salty, a tiny spicy, very generous with the beans. I felt stuffed with the bowl portion. Finally, I thought their ice tea had a good flavor, too.

Will NEVER EVER order from this place again. I did an online order, the money came off my card however they say they never got the order and to contact my card. The girl was rude and completely unhelpful. If you can’t be kind and help resolve a mistake on your end then you probably shouldn’t work in the public. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE cause you will pay and not get your order!!!!

Horrible experience! Waitress came and we said we already know what we want. She put menus down and walked away. Then when she came back we ordered the buckwheat pancakes! They were dry as a bone. The syrup bottles said log cabin syrup, but the bottles were old and sticky and the syrup poured out like water. When we were slowly eating and talking the waitress came back and asked if we wanted boxes. We said no (because we were still eating) and she just scooped up our plates and walked away without even asking if we were finished. It was very disappointing.
