This classic club is in NOLA on Conti St and part of the historic Prince Conti Hotel.
The Bombay Club is infamous for jazz and blues. So famous Sammy Davis Jr, Sinatra, and the original Rat Pack played there in its heyday.
When I got there
December 1, 2025 it was close to closing and new owners taking over. They were literally drinking till it’s gone. I got to help them while listening to live female lounge singers like you see on TV. It was a very relaxing night cap while in New Orleans.

If you’re visiting the Bombay Club, you have to meet Marcus. He’s a chef, but honestly, he could open his own restaurant and just serve fries—because he makes the BEST French fry on the planet. You don’t go to New Orleans expecting to rave about fries, but trust me… these are a must-try. Life-changing fries. Iconic fries. “Book-a-flight-back-to-NOLA-for-them” fries.
Beyond his culinary magic, Marcus is one of the kindest, most genuine people we’ve ever met. He’s wonderfully helpful, incredibly knowledgeable, and shared so many great stories about the Bombay Club, the hotel, and even a few of its hauntings. We absolutely fell in love with him—his energy, his hospitality, everything. He is truly a standout and should be considered an extremely valued employee.
The rest of the staff at the Bombay Club was also amazing—so friendly and so on top of everything. And on our last night, we were treated to live music: a stunning vocalist in a gorgeous ball gown singing Christmas music, accompanied by a pianist. It was magical.
Marcus and the entire Bombay Club team made our trip unforgettable. We can’t wait to come back and Marcus if you see this, Thank you sir and we wish you the very best in life and hope our paths cross again!I think you may remember our girls trip based on the great review of the fries!

Came in for a few cocktails had the best service and drinks. Our bartender can’t remember her name was amazing!! Now let me tell u about the French fries Marcus made for us! Best ever!!! Hot perfect crunch and the perfect amount out of salt and pepper!!! Best I have had!!!

Not a lot of vegetarian options – but everything we tried was delicious! Curried cauliflower tacos, garlic and herb seasoned fries, Caesar salad! The mango lassi mousse was too tart for our taste. The drinks were great! The service was a bit lacking – we didn’t get our cutlery for a while, and weren’t served any water. The music that started at 8 was amazing!

Nice people, space is a little aged. Food is fun. Got all tacos. Pork belly was fine. Cauliflower was really good. Fish tacos were a mixed bag. I can confidently say thisnis one of the better places to eat near bourbon st. Give it a shot!

After some online searching, the restaurant came highly recommended. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to expectations.
Our waitress seemed rushed and not particularly friendly. She mentioned that there was only one burger left in the kitchen, so she’d check if it was still available. After confirming it was, my daughter ordered the burger without cheese and asked for the vegetables and dressings on the side. When the burger arrived, it was regularly prepared with no attention to the special requests.
While the service left much to be desired, the live music was a nice touch and added some enjoyment to the atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food and service didn’t meet our expectations.

Pretty cool place, we almost didn’t go in but decided to give it a try. The happy hour menu was what attracted us. The drinks were good, service was good, and the food was really good. Highly recommend the dirty martini salad, so good. I’d skip the bramble drink though and get the French 76 instead.

Service was excellent, at the bar and at the table. Food was pretty good, but pricey for what you get. The shrimp and grits was $28 and was like 5 shrimp and half a cup of grits. The happy our stuff was by far the best deal. The white sauce that came with the Brussels sprouts had zero flavor. My girl liked her happy hour drinks.

The service was the best we’ve had in NOLA. I’d come back here in a heartbeat. Happy hour is amazing and cheap. All food made from scratch in house. The Caesar salad had botanist gin dressing – fantastic. Fun British atmosphere. Loved it.

Awesome happy hour, Michael is a fantastic bartender. They had great music playing, a nice laid back vibe, live music 8-11pm daily except Mon/Tues. So glad I stopped in for the first time!! Lovely people, lovely place. Looking forward to coming back!!!
