So glad this place reopened. The service was great tonight. I came in kinda lost in a hunger daze and they treated me with excellent service! They oriented me and I was able to leave satisfied with my decisions. I got lucky hitting the happy hour for my slice of pizza. The option for add arugula to any slice for $1 was nice. I love any place adding Mama Lil’s to their eats. I even asked for a little extra thought from the bar tender and she definitely delivered. She curates a highly approachable yet creative small cocktail menu. The whole menu is fairly concise which any indecisive person could appreciate as long as it is approachable. The speciality pizzas are leaning toward more Italian spicy vibes than I typically see at the average joint. East Glisan Pizza Lounge is worth checking out. I think it deserves an overall 4.7 or above on Google AT LEAST. Hopefully my review helps bump it up a little! 🙂

Really cool neighborhood spot with a great vibe inside. Warm lighting, relaxed, but lively energy, and a place that feels like it’s been part of the community for a while. I tried both their tavern-style and Detroit-style pizzas. The tavern-style was excellent…super thin, crispy, and packed with flavor. The Detroit-style was decent, but not my favorite; I’ve had better versions elsewhere, though it was still enjoyable.
Overall, East Glisan is definitely worth a visit, especially if you’re into good pizza and a chill atmosphere to grab a couple beers with friends. I’ll be back for the tavern-style and to try their classic sourdough crust for sure.

Impeccable place! The food and the service were amazing! I solely went here based off a review I saw saying “everyone I met was just nice/kind” and that was absolutely the truest thing ever. I felt so welcomed! Lexi was the sweetest she also gave me some amazing go-to spots while in town! Trust me when I say this place will not disappoint in anyway.
I ordered a classic pizza with pepperoni mushroom and pineapple, it was just what I was craving and the crispy potato’s were amazing! Let’s not forget to mention THE HOMEMADE RANCH, such a unique flavor, I LOVE it! I know you’ll enjoy this place as much as I did.

The East Glisan pizza lounge is just average.
I had very high hopes after seeing an ad on social media with their pizza. Then learning they have three different types of crust to include Detroit style, I was very excited to try it out.
Maybe I expected too much, but ultimately the entire experience to include the pizza was average at best, but the portion and the price was above average.
Our party of 10 got there right at opening and was greeted warmly and it was told to take a few minutes to accommodate us . We waited at least 15 minutes and when we got to our table, it was just a few small tables put together. There’s nothing wrong with that. Let’s just took way too long.
Fortunately, we were ahead of another large party which got seated later and their food was liver much much later than ours
The service was good. Our order was taken and in timely manner with good information.
The pizza was average at best. Specifically, what I mean is that the toppings were basic the crust non-descriptive and the cheese well just normal.. The Detroit style crust was very very fluffy, but had a decent crust on the outside – once again the toppings or sparse.
The averageness continued on with their daily special, which was the meatball pizza. What can I say? Everything was just average flavors weren’t particularly different in the cross once again non-descriptive.
A note on serving size, the pizzas were only slightly bigger, but had above average price for the size so the value component is definitely not there.
So please keep in mind. My expectations were quite high. Maybe too high resulting in disappointed with the ingredients, crust serving size and value. Also their specialty pizzas and menu was very basic..
This place is best suited for a party of two maybe four with light appetites.

This lackluster piece of dough they call a pizza, I ordered at 7:15 didn’t get my order until 7:56 then the host asked me did I want the pizza cut or take it home whole. Like why do you think I came here for pizza that would be sliced. The pizza is old cold and overcooked. The cardboard It came in looks better than my pizza. I’ve had ruffles chips softer than this pizza. I will not be back.

This place is amazing. Very flavorful and fresh. The sourdough breadsticks are perfectly seasoned, crisp on the outside, and soft on the inside. We will be back to try their happy hour menu. They didn’t disappoint!

First time enjoying this place. Sonja our served was awesome. Food was very good … fried breadsticks has a non-pizza crust texture … reminded me a a native American camus root flat bread … dense chewy a bit gritty .. very unique and good. Order was small for $8. Got the Detroit style deep dish with just pepperoni… has a great crisp side and bottom crust about 1 1/4″ thick, balanced thick sauce, crispy small pepperoni but for $20 it was very small and not as decadent as expected .. lived in Motown for 10 years and this was good but not authentic and truly too small. Have RC soda products, $3 with free refills, Lemonade was $5 (!!!) and refills were not offered. Vibe is Midwest bar … like all the places I drank my college years away in Detroit and Hamtramic.

Portland has no shortage of delicious pizza but it is hard to find a good vegan substitute to get my “classic pizza fix”. East Glisan Pizza has a strong vegan pizza game! I love that they can make just about all of their pizza options vegan. They have vegan options for all their crusts too, including thin crust, classic style, and Detroit style. My partner raves about their non-vegan pizza, too, but I definitely recommend for all you plant based pizza seekers! I also recommend this place for the excellent service. It’s got a great neighborhood vibe and just about every worker there, not just your server, comes by to check on you.
They also had a fun “cauldron” pizza for Halloween last night. Looking forward to my leftovers!

There 3 crust options are great. The Tavern (thin/cracker) crust for the mushroom pizza is phenomenal. Cocktails are great and service sincere. Highly recommend and kid friendly!!
