Dined at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse for my birthday on a Wednesday evening. Got to the restaurant 15 mins before our reservation time and was seated right away. The staff was really kind, and everyone congratulated me. We started with drinks: A white wine sangria and a lemon drop martini. We ordered the 3 course meal for each of us. My fiancé got the house salad, filet with grilled shrimp, upgraded to the full size of the mash potatoes which we shared, and ended with the chocolate cheesecake. I ordered the french onion, the twin fillets with grilled shrimp, upgraded to the full size of creamed spinach which was also shared and ended with the regular cheesecake. Overall the service was good. My steak came out a bit more rare than I wanted it so it was sent back but the manager came out right away to let me know they were working on it for me.

The steak was perfectly cooked, mashed potatoes were done right and the shrimp was grilled to perfection. The warm bread and butter is such a great starter.
My smoky margarita was delicious! Highly recommend!
Overall, a wonderful first time experience, I definitely recommend this restaurant and looking forward to returning soon.

My recent dinner at Ruth’s Chris Steak House was nothing short of phenomenal, and a huge part of that experience was thanks to our incredible server, Marco.
We ordered the Porterhouse steak, and it was cooked to absolute perfection—tender, flavorful, and beautifully seared with that signature sizzle. The quality and preparation were exactly what you’d expect from a top-tier steakhouse, and then some.
But what truly set the night apart was Marco’s outstanding service. He was professional, warm, and impressively knowledgeable about the menu. He made fantastic recommendations and timed everything flawlessly, ensuring our meal felt relaxed and special without ever having to ask for a thing. His attention to detail, friendly demeanor, and ability to make us feel genuinely welcome took the whole experience to another level.

I celebrated my birthday at Ruth’s Chris and had the absolute best experience thanks to Jennifer. From the moment my cousin and I walked in, she made us feel welcomed and truly special. The service was beyond wonderful — attentive, warm, and thoughtful without ever feeling rushed.

Thankfully the establishment was able to accommodate to a late walkin. I ordered the prefixe meal special they had out of curiosity and it’s absolutely worth it. The special included a choice of starter, entree, and desert for such a wonderful and surprisingly low price. The lobster Mac and cheese was delicious as well as the Brussels sprouts. The waiter ( Scott C) was efficient and fast paced with our orders. He was attentive even due to the circumstances of close to the time the establishment was closed. The location was quite closer compared to the next closest Jersey city. Quite pleased with this location and its customer service. Another prime reason I like the location due to their staff helping another customer with the public transportation to get back to the city.

Went for our anniversary on NYE and it was the right choice. Everyone from the attendants at the front, our wonderful server Jorge, the table staff, and the manager told us happy anniversary. We felt well taken care of and welcome. Food was phenomenal. Cocktails smoked at the table were delicious. Caesar salad and mashed potato’s great accompaniments. The star filet and lobster combo was fantastic. Finally the largest lava cake we’ve ever seen at a restaurant was the perfect ending. You can find many steakhouse experiences at the price we paid, but our time here was actually worth the splurge. First time visit and we can’t wait to come back!

Extremely Disappointed. Private Event Cancelled Without Notice
I booked a private event at this restaurant for my daughter’s 3rd birthday and even signed a contract to confirm the reservation. On the day of the event, we arrived 15 minutes early to ensure everything was on track. To our shock, the restaurant doors were closed at 1 PM, the scheduled start time.
We called multiple times before someone finally answered, only to inform us that our event had been cancelled. We never received any email or phone communication about this cancellation. By then, all our guests had arrived, and we waited for about 20 minutes before leaving. It was a Sunday afternoon, and we were scrambling to find an alternative venue for our guests, many of whom traveled from New York only to be disappointed and inconvenienced by the restaurant’s incompetence.
Thankfully, we managed to find another location, but our family had prepared a program for the celebration, and we had to completely change our plans. While we were en route to the new venue, the manager called to apologize, citing “miscommunication” as the reason.
This is unacceptable for a renowned restaurant. We had signed a contract and even confirmed the menu with the event manager two days prior. I did not expect such negligence. Our family and guests were truly disappointed.
If you plan to book a private event here, be extremely cautious. Call the restaurant the day before and again on the day of the event to confirm everything. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this location for any special occasion.

My friends, every family has a picky eater. In mine it’s my brother, never have a met someone that is harder to please. In October he wanted to go out for his birthday and he decided on Morton’s, we had a wonderful time and the food was very good, but I had bragged to my family about the wonderful time I had with Mr. Henry, so my brother and 2 of my best friends decided to join me last night at Ruth Chris and when I tell you my brother could NOT stop ranting over how absolutely delicious everything was. I have never seen him enjoy a meal that much in our lives, he literally couldn’t stop. Being a picky eater, he also does not like to drink nearly as much as I do, but after having talked up Mr. Henry and his smoked old fashioned, both my brother and my buddy wanted to try one and as advertised it was absolutely amazing. He actually enjoyed his cocktail, never ever does he drink anything outside of a crown and coke, because he hates the flavor, but because Mr. Henry knows how to properly craft a cocktail, he actually drank it with no face, no winching like he always does … It was amazing to watch and hard to describe, you know that kid that never tries anything? That’s my 42 year old brother, lol.
Ms. Jennifer came over at one point to say hello and she is an absolute phenomenal GM, very keen eye for details and knows how to keep an establishment very classy. We appreciate you too Ms Jennifer, my entire party says thank you.
Our time was amazing, somehow Mr. Henry and Ms. Jennifer found a way to build on perfection, because everything we had, from the French onion soup to the seared Ahi tuna to the ribeye was absolutely amazing. To build a comfortable environment and vibe for friends and family to really enjoy a wonderful meal and time together is not easy at all but Ms. Jennifer and Mr. Henry make it look effortless. Two true professionals, make no mistake about that.
Our drinks were both the smoked old fashioned and a nutty Irishmen with dessert and when I say Mr. Henry is a master at his craft, there is zero exaggeration. Everyone deserves to try one.
Thank you again sir, you never cease to amaze and you live up to the hype, my friends and family had thought I was telling stories, turns out I was just reporting facts.
