Thank you Ms. Maieshi for helping to make my journey worthwhile.
Happy New Year!
Sincerely, Cookie
Both were made to order so the cheese curds were especially hit the second I hot them and tried them although they lose heat somewhat quickly, so when I sat in a cafeteria they were warm instead. I’m guessing the same happened to the burger too.
When hit the cheese was good and meaty when eating, and the bread was crispy and felt either salted or flavored! The cheese somewhat solidified in a few minutes but was still good.
The burger was fairly decent too. The bread has decent rise and was not dry not not mouse either, and the sauce and white cheese is a flavor I prefer over the yellow American cheese. The burger patties were decent. They were steaming fresh but they were not that juicy but the flavor was decent and made for a nice burger experience.
Overall, for like $5 for the cheese curds and $7-8 for the double party burger I like it as it’s a pretty decent–good value!
Fantastic customer service at this location!
The A&W outside Fairlane Mall in Dearborn is seriously underrated. Every time I go, it reminds me why A&W floats are classic for a reason. The root beer is ice cold, perfectly carbonated, and you can tell it’s fresh — not flat, not syrupy, just smooth and crisp. Then they top it with that creamy vanilla soft serve that melts into the root beer just enough to create that perfect foam layer on top.
The balance is everything. It’s not overloaded with ice cream where it turns into a milkshake, and it’s not too light where you’re just drinking soda. It’s that nostalgic, old-school drive-in style float that hits every single time.
There’s something about getting one there, especially being right outside Fairlane Mall — it just feels classic. Simple, refreshing, and done right. On a hot day? Unreal. Even on a cold day? Still worth it.
Service has always been quick and friendly, and the floats are consistently made with care. You can tell they’re not rushing through it — they actually build it properly so you get that layered, creamy, fizzy perfection.
If you haven’t had an A&W float in a while, go here and get one. It’ll remind you why they’ve been famous for it forever. Absolutely five stars just for the floats alone. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
My special request is that I like mayo on my burger and not mustard, so please substitute mayo instead of mustard. I had to explain it twice to the first person, and when I got home I noticed they also gave me cheese, although I had specifically said no to that. And the next time, I had to explain myself three times. I not only asked for mayo in place of mustard but could I also please have extra tomato. I got home and opened my burger to discover it only had condiments on it, nothing else.
It’s such a huge bummer because it’s so hard to find fast food veggie burgers and this location is convenient for me! But still, forget it. Fast food isn’t even inexpensive anymore, so why bother trying.
