We decided to do a museum weekend and stayed at a hotel right by Rockefeller Center.

We came back from a lot of walking, and decided we would have dinner at this restaurant right at the hotel. The front desk made a reservation for us, and we arrived a little early but were seated right away.

It was very cold outside, and they did have patio seating which gave a little draft where we were seated. It wasn’t bad, and as the night went on, it got comfortable.

The place was pretty full, and even the colder patio area seemed to be packed, but service was spot on.

I accidentally dropped a bread plate, and before I could lean over and pick it up, one of the other servers had already picked it up, while another slid a replacement plate from another table onto ours, and another server replaced that one. It happened so quick, but I felt was really remarkable after I had observed the whole thing. I was tempted to drop something else, but restrained myself.

Started off with a couple of cocktails, then appetizers, and the main courses. Everything came out timely, and very well prepared. Not once did I have to get someone’s attention for anything. Our waiter was always nearby and very attentive, but not hovering.

The martinis were perfect and almost went down too easily. The Polpo was perfectly grilled and had a nice delicate bite. I’m a fan of goat cheese in my salad, so we got the Duomo51, which had some blueberries and a light lemon dressing which was just right. My better half had the Lobster Ravioli special, and I had the Ribeye. This arrived very hot with a great sear, but medium rare as I ordered it. They had sliced it while on the bone before grilling, so each piece was nicely crusted and medium rare. We skipped dessert, but did have a couple more martinis. They were delicious.

First time here. Almost couldn’t find the restaurant. It’s on the 7th floor of the Double Tree Hotel. I made a reservation here solely because I thought I could see the Rockefeller Center tree from above. However, from where I sat, I was able to see one tenth of the tree, and I believe I got the best seat in the entire restaurant.

The restaurant was nice and cozy. It was warm and pretty, but everything I saw was red.

They have an interesting drink menu. We got a Vesper Martini and an Inferno de Passione. The martini was very nice.

We also got tartare de Monzo, and it was delicious! The beef tartare was fresh and tender. No chewy or weird bits. The mustard gave it a nice kick but not overpowering. The capers gave it a nice salty flavor. The black truffle was such a great touch. Such a wonderful dish.

Lastly, we got a carbonara. It was cheesy and creamy. The thick bacon cubes were cooked perfectly. It was great!

Overall it was a great meal. We had a good time here. However, there was a constant high pitched noise by the window where we sat, and we were not sure if it was from the wind, but it gave us a headache. We had to leave right after we finished our food.

The best meatballs I’ve ever eaten. I don’t know if it was the sauce, the meat, or a combination of both, plus the smoked cheese that gave it a unique flavor.

The dessert, as the Italians would say, was a bocatto di cardenali. Passion fruit ice cream that, combined with the melted chocolate and the acidity of the fruit, gives an exquisite taste to the chocolate it contains.

The chicken and pasta, worthy of Italian flavors.

The view, right in the middle of Manhattan, with St. Patrick’s Cathedral as a backdrop, adds a special touch to the place and any occasion.

Tony, our sommelier, was a great host, always attentive and helpful.

The decor was wonderful, and the music was one of my favorites: techno, house, and other electronic music that gives the place a special atmosphere.

Highly recommended.

We only came for coffee mid afternoon . Thank you to Julia for organising. She was helpful when I called to reserve. I wish all restaurant staff were as accommodating. Great setting as you are on 7th floor. However there are only two small restrooms on a floor below. These are shared with the hotel guests so the lines can build up. Also the restaurant offer tea but no tea pots. Strange for a high end venue. I would return to try it out for dinner in the evening but I am worried about waiting in line for the restrooms.

I honestly loved everything about this restaurant. From the moment I walked in, I felt comfortable and welcomed. The staff was kind and attentive without being overbearing, which really made a difference. The food was amazing every bite tasted fresh, flavorful, and made with care. You can tell a lot of heart goes into what they do. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, making it a place where you actually want to sit, enjoy your meal, and take your time. I left full, happy, and already thinking about when I’ll come back. Definitely one of my favorite dining experiences.

I have been living in New York for over 20 years and we decided to be a tourist for a day! We were looking for a place to eat after the broadway show and found this place! We have no reservations, so we didn’t get the nice view but we had a great food! It’s on 6th floor in Hilton!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5
I came here based on my own research — and I’m so glad I did. this place is fantastic.

The service was truly upscale, with Bryan, the host and the entire team making us feel incredibly welcome. The food was 10/10, the ambiance and music were perfect for enjoying a few elevated drinks and great conversation. It’s not too loud, smells amazing, and has a beautiful view that’s perfect for taking pictures — especially if you’re visiting the city.

We actually live here, so it takes a lot to impress us, but this restaurant is a solid 10/10 in every way. They were super chill about us filming content for our personal brand too, which made the experience even better.

Grazie mille, Bryan, for the limoncello — we’ll definitely be back! ✨

We had a wonderful lunch here. We had just gotten off a cruise ship and we wanted a nice quality lunch. Duomo51 was perfect. We shared the calamari salad, which was char grilled and delicious. I had the lobster ravioli and my wife had the cachio e Pepe, both were wonderful. We had a nice sav blanc wine. They had perfect café Macchiato and we shared a panacotta. It was a great experience.

Perfect place to celebrate life events, date nights, dinner with friends or just to enjoy amazing food, drinks and views. I tried Duomo51 for the first time for my early birthday dinner and I was blown away with how delicious the food was especially their Truffle menu, the drinks were amazing and the views to die for. They have a little outdoor open section where you can enjoy drinks with a view and take some really good pictures of the city. Will definitely come back to Duomo51 in near future.

I went out last night here for my girlfriend and I’s anniversary. The food was good up until I got my steak which you can see by this photo is fully raw. I’m not one to make a whole big scene and demand anything from a restaurant when something like this happens, but this should’ve been handled way differently. I brought this up to my waiter and his response was “yeah it does look a little bruised. Would you like us to cook it more for you so you can finish it. I’ll let my manager and the cook know” to which I responded no it’s fine. He then brought up if we were interested in dessert which we were so we ordered the dessert, a tiramisu a crème brule and a coffee which was great. But to my surprised when we got the bill we still got fully charged for the steak and not even the desserts were compensated because of this. I’m sure this never even got brought up to the manager or the cook or I’m sure something would’ve been done about this.
