Located right on the historic Ohio River in Newport, Kentucky, Chart House is one of the most magnificent waterfront restaurants, offering views of both the water and the Cincinnati skyline. This riverfront restaurant combines a beautiful setting with an upscale atmosphere, making it one of the finest seafood restaurants in the Cincinnati area. Just a short drive from the area’s top attractions, Chart House is a great place for an evening on the town, either for happy hour or dinner. Catch stunning views of the Daniel Carter Beard Bridge at sunset while you dine.
High-end chain eatery serving seafood & steakhouse fare in a classy setting with views.

1st Time I Visited This Establishment, the Salmon & Baked Tater was SO Salty.
This 2nd Time, the Lobster Tail was SO Tough & the Veggies were Scorched or Overcooked. Had 2 Replace the Side w Mashed! However, Great View & Service!

I had the special seafood meal with salad, skewer of steak and shrimp, and lava cake. It tasted very good but was barely warm. View of was great and server. Come prepared to pay a little more than other places but probably worth it.

My parents and I reserved a table for new year’s eve and I am speechless. The ambiance is just what you would want for a relaxing, romantic dinner. We got the calamari for an appetizer and it was some of the best ever. My step-father and I got the cod with lobster risotto (perhaps a holiday menu item) and my mom got the fish and gnocchi which she loved. Everything was amazing but be sure to pace yourself! We were stuffed after leaving but it was well worth it. Service is great and food is perfectly timed.

Chart House was once a luxury dining chain at premier locations in major cities, typically, on the waterfront. This location, like one other I visited in the Sarasota area, is maintained as well as possible given its age. The decor is dated and the food is acceptable but not great; however, prices remain very high. I ate alone and my bill was almost $70 for the Prime Rib dinner, which included salad (which was fresh) and dessert. A nice evening and the staff is attentive but there are much better options at this price point.

Of course it’s gonna be pricey, It’s a seafood place. But this was genuinely an enjoyable experience. I had a mock tail and the avocado and spicy salmon stacker, and the service was pretty slow, but not bad for a busy night. Would recommend

The ambience of the restaurant was awesome, just overlooking the water. The presentation of the food was good too. I had the Salmon with a light cream sauce and the roasted vegetable. I also had the sunset beets, which was really delicious. Honestly, I enjoyed that the most. Ordered the mini lava cake, which was highly rated by the staff. It was good, but it may have been slightly overcooked as it there was not much “lava” remaining. Having said that, it would not deter me from coming again. Also, service was great too.

First, our waitress was exceptional. She was very attentive, kept the beverage glasses full and was knowledgeable of the menu and offerings. The food itself was amazing, prime rib cooked perfectly for the gentlemen, a beautiful bowl of New England clam chowder for myself. The chowder had a tasty stock and was full of clams and potatoes. It was delicious. Another guest had the lobster bisque. Its broth did not seem as well developed but was still tasty and had a large amount of lobster on top to garnish. The entire evening was enjoyed by everyone at the table.

If you want an upscale dining experience with spectacular food and ocean front views, the Chart House does not disappoint! Spectacular date night! We’ve been coming here for years, the manager, Amanda, creates an elevated experience and our favorite server, Lauren, makes us feel special. She is the most professional and welcoming person. She remembers what we like and ensures everything is done with perfection. This place is IT!

Our first time dining at Chart House and we really enjoyed it! I got the “Chart Your Couse” and thought it was a great deal for $57 (lobster bisque, prime rib, lava cake). The sea bass & crab risotto was also good, but I thought the prime rib was better. I really liked my Mango Mojito.
Our server, L, was really nice!

I was there with a group of about 30 people. The staff were amazing. I don’t know how they did it, but they kept our water and tea glasses filled throughout the entire meal. The service was impeccable. Everyone was please with the quality of their food and service. Although the entire restaurant was completely full, they kept up with us all without missing a beat. The waitstaff seemed to really care about pleasing their customers. When asked for wine suggestions they were ready with great recommendations, offering tastings and they were spot on every time.
Though full of customers, the arrangements of seating areas were spaced in such a way that conversations from other guests were at a pleasant volume so that no table overwhelmed the next and everyone enjoyed themselves.
The tenderloin I had was cooked to perfection! I loved the tricolor carrots and mashed potatoes!
I don’t get up to that part of the country very often, but whenever I am up there I never miss the chance to dine at such an outstandingly beautiful establishment. I’m looking forward to next year!!
