Hilal Grill’s Ramadan buffet was honestly one of the best buffet experiences I’ve had. Everything about the evening was incredibly well organized, the food was fresh and delicious, and the service was outstanding.

First of all, the variety of food was amazing. There were so many different items to choose from that it was hard to decide what to try first. Everything looked fresh and tasted just as good as it looked. You could really tell that the food was prepared carefully and consistently replenished throughout the night so nothing ever felt like it had been sitting out too long. As soon as a tray was close to finishing, the staff brought out fresh food right away. That attention to detail made the whole buffet feel high quality.

The price is also very reasonable for the amount and quality of food you get. The buffet is $27.99, and with tax and fees it comes out to about $31. If you pay cash, it’s roughly $28–$29. For the selection, freshness, and overall experience, it’s definitely worth it.

What impressed me even more was how well everything was run. The night I went (Saturday), they hosted around 180 people, which is a huge crowd for an iftar buffet. Despite that, everything went so smoothly. The staff handled the rush extremely well and kept everything organized.

The service was truly exceptional. The servers were constantly walking around, cleaning tables quickly and keeping the dining area neat. Plates were cleared promptly and the whole place stayed very clean even with so many guests. You could tell the team was working really hard to make sure everyone had a great experience.

The owner also deserves special recognition. He was incredibly welcoming, helpful, and attentive. It’s clear that he cares a lot about the restaurant and about making sure guests enjoy their meal, especially during Ramadan.

Overall, Hilal Grill’s Ramadan buffet is fantastic. The food is fresh and delicious, the variety is huge, the price is fair, and the service is excellent. Hosting nearly 180 people and still keeping everything running smoothly is impressive. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great iftar buffet experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Definitely give this place a try! The server (a young Indian gentleman) was incredibly respectful and patient while we browsed the menu and suggested some of their popular dishes. We were starving, and the portions did not disappoint! The beef biryani and chicken shish kabab with rice are an absolute must-tries. Delicious flavors and great prices for two people. Their chai was also very strong and perfect. Highly recommend!

Hands down the best Pakistani/Afghani/Indian food I’ve ever had at a restaurant— very much like home cooking. There are so many options to choose from on the menu. Everything we tried was so well flavored and the meats were all perfectly tender. We got the chicken boti with white rice, sheesh kebab with biryani, and nihari with garlic naan. For drinks, we tried their mango lassi, black tea, and chai. We were very impressed. The hostess was very kind and diligently checked on us multiple times during our meal. The ambiance is also nice—very homey/cozy. And the prices are very very reasonable—you get so much (both in quantity and quality). Highly recommend to anyone looking for halal food in Phoenix. To the locals—you’re lucky to have this spot! And to the travelers, don’t pass up an opportunity to try them out!

This was easily the best Pakistani Afghan Indian food I have had and it seriously tasted like home cooking with tons of options and perfectly flavored tender dishes. The drinks were great, the service was super kind and attentive and the space felt cozy with prices that are very reasonable for how much you get. Highly recommend if you want halal food in Phoenix.

I recently visited this restaurant and took takeout, and I’d give it a solid 3 stars, maybe nudging toward 4 on a good day. The indoor seating arrangements caught my eye—spacious, well-organized, and inviting, with a clean and welcoming atmosphere. They serve a variety of dishes, but they’re particularly known for their kabobs, which seem to be a crowd favorite.

For my takeout order, I tried the beef biriyani and chicken biriyani. Honestly, they were Okay but not the best biriyani I’ve had in Phoenix. Both lacked the bold flavors I was hoping for, and the beef biriyani, in particular, felt a bit dry. On a brighter note, the mango lassi was good—refreshing and well-balanced, it was a great addition to the meal.

the parking situation; the lot is limited, which could be a hassle during peak hours. Overall, it’s a solid spot for a one-time visit, especially if you’re curious about their kabobs or want to enjoy their pleasant indoor vibe. I’d recommend giving it a try but don’t expect the biriyani to blow you away. They do have a buffet which is 29.99 per person (Only Sundays I believe)

The food was good and all but the time when I ordered desert (rasmalai) I found out that it was almost rotten. It was sticky and smelled bad. Do yourself a favor and check the food thoroughly when you are eating, especially the deserts. Did not expect that from a US restaurant tbh. Although they did add a discount in the bill for this mistake.

I ordered a take meal from here through door dash. I also called the restaurant to make sure it was non spicy. I placed my order at 2:55pm but I didn’t receive the food until 4:15pm. All of the food was cold when I received it. I never received any updates from the restaurant regarding when I would receive the food. The food also was very spicy! The food did have some flavor. I would only ordered from here again if I was dining in.
