At our Macon, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I had a great experience at Captain D’s ! From the moment we walked in, the lady Shay was friendly, patient, and made sure our order was exactly how we wanted it. The food was fresh, hot, and cooked perfectly. The fish was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the sides were just as good. Shay’s positive attitude really made the visit even better. It’s always nice to receive great customer service along with great food. I’ll definitely be coming back because of the amazing service Shay provided!

To bad can’t put negative 0 stars. Trash trash trash. That covers the food the service and the building. Don’t waste your time…..10min for 1 burnt old fish sandwich…..and don’t waste your money $9 for a burnt old fish sandwich that I waited ten mins for just for it to be burnt old and dry. While the dirty glove workers sat in the place looking at me and talking. Shut it down. Then the drive thru girl got the nerve to say have a blessed one. Girl God going get you and your crew.

I am a Captain Ds enthusiast and fancy myself a Captain Ds expert as this was my first job in high school. We frequently stop when traveling and I have had a range of experiences. This location was top tier. We shared a 4 piece with okra and green beans and every bite was perfection. The service was also friendly and fast.

I spent right at $30 on my mobile order. I got the new deluxe seafood platter, the 10 shrimp with fries basket, I added 2 chicken tenders and a sweet tea. I got there to the intercom to let them know I was there to pick up my mobile order and the lady was extremely RUDE. I waited 40 minutes to get my food after I ordered it sitting in the drive thru only for them to tell me to pull up to the door and wait longer. There was no line, and the dining area was not busy. I just had a hysterectomy so going inside wasn’t an option for me. The added on chicken tenders were so small and it cost almost $5 for 2 of them. I took pictures of it all . My seafood deluxe was the saddest I have ever seen and it wasn’t even all there and all the food was cold. They forgot the sweet tea so when I asked for it they brought it in a cup with no ice and the tea was hot. I cannot believe it cost almost $30 for this type of food and service. Never again will I go back. .

This is the worst one in Macon. They have all these promotion signs up and then when you order they say ” oh we don’t have that anymore”! Bad management at this location…. Update yall signs. The goal is to keep the people coming… That’s why y’all parking lot is a ghost town…. Bad service

Purchased my meals on 10/04/2025 using the app. This is a regular place I frequented a lot. My food is truly good for the most part. On this occasion things went terribly wrong with the food. I chose to order something different 2 4 piece dinners one with broccoli and French fries the other one a baked potato and Cole slaw. Once I got back home bite into my food the fish had a different taste so I thought to myself maybe the oil needed to be changed. So I kept eating, I started on the Cole slaw and baked potato. Shortly after eating the coleslaw I thought I had had bursting on the inside. So i went to my bathroom a few seconds after entering my Jody felt like it was on fire my stomach begin to hurt. I could not move. Then about 30 seconds later I was hurling nonstop. I thought I was going to die. I do not drink or use drugs. That was not the issue. It was the food that cause my convulsions as well as hurling

Disgusting! I will never go back to this location. Had to wait in the drive-thru for 45 minutes. Got home with food and was missing part of the order and literally everything was overcooked! The macaroni tasted watered down and reheated from yesterday. How do you mess up macaroni?
Spent $78 to feed my family and the meal was horrible! If you want Captain D’s go to the Forsyth location. It’s a little out of the way for us but would have been worth it to get a descent meal.

I know everyone needs their job right now, but the Captain D’s on Thomaston needs to clean house. I was on the phone with my son while he was ordering my food and the customer service was horrible! Not to mention the food was terrible and I paid $10 for this mess. Do better or shut it down!

We had grilled white fish plate with original seasoned , and grilled salmon plate with lemon pepper seasoned. Excellent food, seasoned and cooked to a supreme taste, even the rice and roll was perfect. Served with hot green beans or broccoli.
