I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs w their signature meat sauce.
When I first walked in, the first thing I noticed was the smell. It honestly smelt like all the toilets were clogged and they were solving it by throwing comet at it and praying, that and a much less offensive, burnt food. Regarding the former, I figured someone just recently.. like, 30 sec ago, must’ve stunk up the place and that it was unfortunate, but that it would soon fade.. nope.
The only reason I didn’t leave then was bc of the burnt food smell. I was starving and I just figured if theres someone ack there to burn food then there’s someone back there cooking. Good enough for me at that time. I mean, how do you mess up spaghetti and meatballs??
My server was kind and always stopped to say hi and make eye contact w me even when she was busy w other patrons.. I couldn’t have been happier w her. The hostess kinda brushed me off to do her own thing. I don’t think she bothered to get up so I grabbed my own menu. I sat down next to the great zambini (which I regret not reading my future right then and there) and a shower caddy full of cleaning supplies, including comet.
I’m pretty positive it was the sauce.. the burnt smell, that is. It tasted both old and burnt. I remember thinking that maybe there was something “unique” to that dish that I just wasn’t diggin, but after taking a break and properly smashing some warm bread and salad and went back to it, that’s when I knew for sure.
What’s worse is after paying $15-20 for it, I still have a serious craving for spaghetti and meatballs! Just 86 the sauce, and tell me to order something else..?
Thanks for the salad and bread tho, they were delicious.. but not worth $40
I came to your restaurant with a group from work today. I ordered the large appetizer platter with the 6 mini bbq pizzas, toasted ravioli and mozzarella sticks. Everyone else in my party was served their food and I kept being told it would be 2 more minutes on mine.
I finally told my server I would just box up my leftovers and take them home expecting that she would bring out my food for me to eat with some to go boxes. She brought my food out already boxed up for me to take home instead of me trying to eat some there with my co-workers who were already done eating and getting their bills. She offered me some dessert which I said sure I would like some strawberry cheese cake. I did not look in the boxes/containers until I got home. The bbq pizza crust was so chewy it was inedible, there was no cheese on the pizza and the bbq sauce had no flavor in fact it basically tasted like spaghetti sauce that was used for the ravioli and mozzarella sticks. The toasted ravioli and cheese sticks were chewy and inedible as well.
The dessert she sent home with me was the chocolate cake and tiramisu not cheese cake.
I spent $26.33 before tip for sub-par food.
Why would I even consider eating at your establishment ever again?!?!
I realize that we were a big group (14 people) but an appetizer should not have been the last thing to be brought to the table!!
Got there around 5 on a Saturday night. Only 1 other couple there. Seated in the back which was fine. Placed an order of pizza and Salmon and pasta. We received our drinks and bread. As an hour passes we kept seeing other food going out and even to a table that got there 15-20 minutes after us.The waitress told us the kitchen was small and they were backed up!!! What??? Now remember we were the second customers there!! We paid for our drinks and left! Will Not be going back .
