We sat in the bar area. It was a bit cold with the entrance doors opening but that was our choice to sit. There was a big party in the dining area and it was a bit loud. Our server Caley was amazing and very helpful. The spinach appetizer was delicious and the espresso martini was good. Ordered chicken parmesan it was okay. Salmon Florentine was okay bit boney. Buffalo wings for appetizer came couple mins before entrée and they were bit hard im sure they wanted to make sure they were cooked through. Tiramisu was definitely worth the visit.

I spent a lot of money on free bread and a salad.
I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs w their signature meat sauce.
When I first walked in, the first thing I noticed was the smell. It honestly smelt like all the toilets were clogged and they were solving it by throwing comet at it and praying, that and a much less offensive, burnt food. Regarding the former, I figured someone just recently.. like, 30 sec ago, must’ve stunk up the place and that it was unfortunate, but that it would soon fade.. nope.
The only reason I didn’t leave then was bc of the burnt food smell. I was starving and I just figured if theres someone ack there to burn food then there’s someone back there cooking. Good enough for me at that time. I mean, how do you mess up spaghetti and meatballs??
My server was kind and always stopped to say hi and make eye contact w me even when she was busy w other patrons.. I couldn’t have been happier w her. The hostess kinda brushed me off to do her own thing. I don’t think she bothered to get up so I grabbed my own menu. I sat down next to the great zambini (which I regret not reading my future right then and there) and a shower caddy full of cleaning supplies, including comet.
I’m pretty positive it was the sauce.. the burnt smell, that is. It tasted both old and burnt. I remember thinking that maybe there was something “unique” to that dish that I just wasn’t diggin, but after taking a break and properly smashing some warm bread and salad and went back to it, that’s when I knew for sure.
What’s worse is after paying $15-20 for it, I still have a serious craving for spaghetti and meatballs! Just 86 the sauce, and tell me to order something else..?
Thanks for the salad and bread tho, they were delicious.. but not worth $40

My mother ate there and brought me a to-go order. Her and my salad were brown. Her’s included the core from the head of lettuce. The refunded her lasagna because it was inedible but made her pay for the salad. My chicken parmesean was gross as well as the spaghetti. You have to fail pretty bad to mess up spaghetti. I only ate two bites and had stomach cramps. Never eating there again.

I just want to say I am very disappointed with the quality of the service and the food that I received today (4/10/25) for lunch.

I came to your restaurant with a group from work today. I ordered the large appetizer platter with the 6 mini bbq pizzas, toasted ravioli and mozzarella sticks. Everyone else in my party was served their food and I kept being told it would be 2 more minutes on mine.

I finally told my server I would just box up my leftovers and take them home expecting that she would bring out my food for me to eat with some to go boxes. She brought my food out already boxed up for me to take home instead of me trying to eat some there with my co-workers who were already done eating and getting their bills. She offered me some dessert which I said sure I would like some strawberry cheese cake. I did not look in the boxes/containers until I got home. The bbq pizza crust was so chewy it was inedible, there was no cheese on the pizza and the bbq sauce had no flavor in fact it basically tasted like spaghetti sauce that was used for the ravioli and mozzarella sticks. The toasted ravioli and cheese sticks were chewy and inedible as well.

The dessert she sent home with me was the chocolate cake and tiramisu not cheese cake.

I spent $26.33 before tip for sub-par food.

Why would I even consider eating at your establishment ever again?!?!

I realize that we were a big group (14 people) but an appetizer should not have been the last thing to be brought to the table!!

Great Memphis Italian restaurant going back to the days when Memphis had a large Italian population. Lots of traditional recipes. Lots of Frank Sinatra era music. Two banquet rooms. There were two birthday parties and a celebration of life going on a lunch today. All of my party were happy with their selections and the kids love the pizza.

First time going to the restaurant.
Got there around 5 on a Saturday night. Only 1 other couple there. Seated in the back which was fine. Placed an order of pizza and Salmon and pasta. We received our drinks and bread. As an hour passes we kept seeing other food going out and even to a table that got there 15-20 minutes after us.The waitress told us the kitchen was small and they were backed up!!! What??? Now remember we were the second customers there!! We paid for our drinks and left! Will Not be going back .

If you like actual italian, then this is not the place for you. Way better options elsewhere. I’m not sure if the chef changed, but they definitely are not the same. The other location was fairly good the last time. The food here was not very good and messy, and I had never seen such sloppy lasagna. The server was fine, no issues there, the food is just not where it should be. Didn’t get to try the pizza, but it looks like they had a lot of orders to pick up for it. That may be their bread and butter here. As far as the building itself its pretty neat and got a cool old school feel.

It is hard to evaluate on only one dish. I had the spaghetti. The housemade meat sauce was good. It had cooked a little too long. The spaghetti was great and it was a very large portion for a good price. I had the “Italian” salad. It was supposed to have “crisp mixed greens” or something like that. It was just iceberg lettuce. A little let down. I ate it. I don’t hate iceberg but some people do. The bread was ok. A little hard.

I travel a lot and eat in many different cities and lots of different restaurants. I am what they call a foodie and a pizza connoisseur. I just moved to the area and I’m disappointed. Someone suggested the pizza however they should take it off the menu. I believe it might’ve even been a frozen dough try using a low moisture cheese, and the cheese will not burn, definitely not a brick oven. I’m sorry to even have to say this, but it was very disappointing. I was planning on coming back and trying the lasagna, but I’m afraid to waste my time in my money.
