In saying this, we walk in the side door that had a sign to see the host to be seated. There was no host but a polite woman offered to get us menus and would have someone come over and get our drink order. We chose a place to sit as there were many open tables. The woman referenced above brought us menus and said someone would be out. A waitor came out and asked a few tables if they needed anything and then made their way to us. We ordered waters at first, they came out quickly, we ordered our appetizer and food and in the same interaction I ordered a pop. Dudeman that took the order disappeared after dropping the appetizer off. I never got the pop I asked for. The polite woman in reference to when we came in brought us our meals and I asked for the pop I was waiting for. She brought me the pop and a water. Dudeman still never showed up again. I was slightly annoyed that almost all the tables were getting put on the back burner because the bar was busy (which is fair. If you have people scheduled for the bar. They work the bar. If there are people scheduled to wait tables, they do that) but the polite woman, who was also working the bar, tried her best to keep the tables satisfied too. When we got our check and went to pay, I asked for the pop to be refunded as I got one with no refills (because she was busy and dude that was supposed to be waiting tables disappeared). We discussed that yes, I did order the pop and I did get it, but I got one, it was empty pretty quick. She understood where I was coming from and apologized a bunch because her coworker disappeared. I let her know it wasn’t her fault and hoped she didn’t get a hard time for doing that. Before we walked away, she was already off helping other people so I asked for her name – Jaz or maybe Jazzalyn – and I want to note her amazing above and beyond service that she didn’t have to do. She was handling everything thrown at her the best she could. All while keeping a friendly face and smiling. Not very often does this happen nowadays.
The food was good. No complaints there. Still never saw dudeman the waitor again, hopefully he’s alive and not in the fryer.
We came in as a group of three and ordered our meals. What was brought to the table was not what we ordered. When we politely explained the issue, instead of fixing it, the staff and even the managers became aggressive and argued with us.
To make matters worse, we were charged for dishes we did not order — including a pork dish, none of the people in my party eat pork; some for religious reasons and some for health benefits. This was not only disrespectful but deeply offensive.
We were eventually told to leave the restaurant, without being given the chance to have the order corrected, and still had to pay for food we didn’t order or eat.
I have photo proof of the incorrect receipt and the food that was brought to us. This is not how paying customers should be treated anywhere. I strongly suggest thinking twice — or a million times — before coming here.
From the moment we were seated, the service was awful. The restaurant was basically empty, so there was absolutely no reason for the delays we experienced. Our server took our drink order, and it took over 30 minutes just to get drinks. After ordering our food, my mom never received her egg toast sandwich, and my sister and I ordered the eggs Benedict. Which came out with hard-boiled eggs and looked completely unappetizing. Honestly, the food looked disgusting, especially for the price. It was basically overpriced bar food trying to pass as a special brunch.
We waited a total of 2½ hours, and in that time we watched multiple tables come in after us, receive their food, eat, pay, and leave, all before we were even served our meals.
When we brought up our concerns, our server said they would get someone “higher up.” We saw the manager walk in but he never came over to address anything. We were told my mom’s meal and both orders of eggs Benedict would be removed from the bill.
Once the bill came, nothing had been removed. We had to bring it up again, and the server acted annoyed and frustrated with us, even though three of us left without a meal to eat.
To top it all off, the “story time” that was advertised NEVER happened. The Grinch did walk around and interact for a couple of minutes, but that was the only part of the event that matched the advertising.
Overall, this was hands down the worst service, misleading advertising, terrible food quality, and a complete waste of time. We will not be returning.
