The staff are very friendly and it’s a great atmosphere, although the floors aren’t very clean. Also, my dad ended up getting some kind of string and something else that was gross in his food so they took it back and gave him a new plate. They were very apologetic so it wasn’t a huge deal. Overall the food is really good. Accidents happen, but we would come back again since the food was really good!

I felt at home at this diner. The food exceeded my expectations including the desert. I had a lobster grilled cheese sandwich which was heavenly and the lemon cake was delectable. I hope to enjoy dinner tomorrow night before I have to head home tomorrow. Before I left I just had to try the French toast muffin and it was scrumptious. I highly recommend the French toast muffin with a glass of riesling cold at the Plaza Diner. They also have a full bar if you enjoy a drink with your dinner.

Day 2 I had the stuffed shrimp and I tried multiple different desserts and my favorite was hands down the baklava. This is a must try heated with honey. I enjoyed the shrimp nachos more than the dinner. It is a dinner in itself. Once again I highly recommend the Plaza Diner. I’m going back home so I will not be trying more food until I return.

Although we got there right before closing, maybe 45 minutes the food was still hot fresh the service was great the atmosphere as well was very nice. I only saw indoor seating, but it was very spacious and big. They have great pastries and desserts in a showcase, they have counter seating. It’s just an all-around great place to go whether it’s a party of two or a party of 12 highly recommend.

The server was Deena and it took her awhile to notice us and did everything on the run. Every time we needed something she was off to the side talking to other coworkers. Other guests were getting annoyed with her service.Good service make everything better.

My family and I just left Plaza Diner. We were not greeted very well when we arrived and were ignored and not served after being seated for about 10 minutes. We witnessed other patrons receive great service, however.

We are going to move to Shelton and planned to make this our go-to diner, but this experience annulled that.

I went for breakfast on a Sunday in late June. Very busy, but since I was dining solo I was able to get seated immediately with counter (bar) seating. No frills but efficient service. Very clean and bright space. Great food and amazing prices that beat even what I’d find in the Midwest. Polish trip was excellent! My first time having pierogies for breakfast. The potatoes were clearly house made and the sausages were excellent.

It’s a rather large diner. From the outside it looks massive. I met a friend there. It was both our first times. She ordered the lobster roll with salad and potato salad. I ordered an avocado salad with salmon instead of chicken. My salad was pretty good, it was a bit chopped and I probably could have used a spoon bc the fork wasn’t working well with the small pieces. The salmon was cooked a bit more than I prefer but I expect that at most places which is why I rarely ask for salmon, but I was afraid if I asked for shrimp I’d only get a handful. The veggies were fresh though. The avocado was delish. I got balsamic dressing, which was rather watery. So it just fell to the bottom of my plate. My friend had no complaints about her roll. Our server was great and attentive! She realized she never gave my friend her salad, and immediately rectified. She checked in on us at nice intervals. We were able to hold our conversation at normal voice levels without feeling intrusive to others around us and vice versa. It was a clean environment, friendly, and efficient. I will certainly go back, but probably not for the salad! Next time I’ll take pictures of food!
