The Wagyu beef on the hot rock was definitely one of the highlights. Cooking it yourself right at the table was fun and the beef tasted amazing. The scallops were also really good, and both the spicy sashimi shrimp rolls and California rolls were fresh and tasty. The teriyaki chicken was solid as well.
That said, the biggest issue here is the price. Everything is super overpriced, and it’s honestly pretty brutal on the wallet for what you get. The most disappointing dish by far was the lobster rice. The portion size was shockingly small, especially considering the price, and there was barely any lobster in it. On top of that, the flavor was pretty mid compared to the rest of the meal.
So overall: the food is fresh and many of the dishes taste great, and the experience (especially the Wagyu hot rock) is fun. But the value just isn’t there. You’re paying a lot for the vibe and location more than the actual portions. And DONT ORDER THE LOBSTER FRIED RICE.
What really stood out was the ambience: the rustic cabin-style decor with modern touches created a quiet, cozy, and relaxing environment- perfect for unwinding after a ski day. Highly recommended for both food and atmosphere.
The service was incredible, knowledgeable and helpful, and the menu had a vast array of fresh Asian centric dishes that tickle the palate.
The interior and decorating offer a warm, comforting atmosphere that aligns with Banffs overall vibe and makes it a place you’ll like to visit time and time again with offerings that are unique to the Banff area.
10/10 would visit again!!
We ordered a lot of the menu. Highlights included the Chicken Karagge, A5 Wagyu (which they have a very good price on and the chef cooks perfectly), and the Maui Wowie rolls which were 50% off for happy hour ($6.70 USD for a set of 8 sizeable rolls is a steal in the US).
They have great Pork Bao buns here, and I tried bites of the Chicken Teriyaki and the Lobster Fried rice, both of which are stellar even though they weren’t my main.
If you’re coming here for value, slam a bunch of the half price Sushi for happy hour. If you want to try a bunch of stuff, just order a bunch of the amazing Apetizers. Everything we tried was great.
We ordered ramen, spicy tuna rolls and the winter tempura. It was incredible and my girlfriend and I will definitely return. Highly recommend!!
we had to wait a bit longer for our food than other tables because our order was accidentally sent to another table, but it didn’t take too long. the sushi was good, not the best we’ve had, but it was okay. unfortunately, the ramen was a bit disappointing. the drinks were good.
overall, it’s a nice spot for happy hour, but i’m not sure i’d pay full price for the food quality.
