Me and my son went through Wendy’s drive through on S. Sterling street today. It was one of the worst experiences ive had at a restaurant EVER. We order 2 combos, a 4 piece tender combo, a 10pc spicy nugget combo and 2 $7 biggie bags. We arrived at the drive thru at 3:17pm and did not get our food until 4:03. The woman who took my order was extremely rude. Older white lady, but i looked over that. We just wanted to grab some FAST food real quick before heading home after a long day. We pull up to the window and only sit there a few minutes before paying and receiving our drinks, then they had me pull up and they were going to bring my food right out. I sit on that spot for 45 minutes. I even went in once and asked if they forgot about me, one worker said she was currently working on my order. NONE OF THE FOOD I RECEIVED WAS WARM. What took so long??? I should have gotten a refund. The nuggets wasn’t spicy and I was short 1 tender. Doesn’t seem like a big deal except the price of a 3pc is around $9.60 and. 4pc around. 11.60. Not only did I waste an hour on FAST food, but my order was wrong on top of that. This is the absolute WORST “FAST” FOOD RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE IVE HAD IN ALL OF MY LIFE. I will never go back to this location. Why is this place still open?

I don’t do much fast food and, when I do, I never expect amazing service. I expect amazing fries maybe, but that’s about it and my expectations tend to be pretty low otherwise. So it took a lot for me to be shocked by the level of bad service I received from this Wendy’s. The guy at the drive thru was kinda abrupt and not polite, no biggie. I got a “take your order” and then a “pull around.” Par for the course. The girl at the window took my card without saying a word so I asked her if I could know how much she was about to charge my card since the guy on the intercom didn’t tell me either. Still no biggie. Then she hands me a bag, again, no speaking, so I assume that’s everything and I’m about to drive away when she says “oh wait” and she shoves another HALF WRAPPED sandwich out the window. I pull up and realize I had better check my order. Sure enough, there’s only two half filled containers of overcooked, cold fries, not three. I pull over and go inside. After being ignored for a while, a guy walks over to me and LITERALLY DOES NOT SAY A WORD this entire interaction. I tell him about my missing fry. He turns around and scoops some more of the cold, brown, shriveled fries into a container and walks over handing me the container (no bag but whatever at this point) and promptly walks away silently. I’m actually a little concerned that maybe the employees aren’t allowed to speak. When I walked in with our cold, dry, half wrapped food, I told my husband about my experience and he said “oooh you must’ve gone to the one off exit 105, everyone knows not to go to that one.” Then he reminded me that this was the Wendy’s where, a few months back, he and another customer stood for fifteen minutes waiting to order and literally never saw an employee that entire time and they both walked out.

Absolutely terrible experience at the Wendy’s on Sterling Street in Morganton (Exit 105 off I-40). The food was ice cold, poorly thrown together, and honestly looked like it had been dragged through the parking lot before being shoved into the bag. Everything tasted stale and unappetizing. By far one of the worst fast-food meals we’ve ever had.
Do yourself a favor — don’t stop here. We definitely won’t be back.
Then of course they never answer there phone!!

DO NOT GO FOR NIGHT SHIFT. That’s about it. This is my go to for lunch or dinner since i work right up the street. Day shift you get your order as you request. Night shift has issues. I ordered a Dave’s Triple plain, my usual. Day shift is always spot on. Night shift. They either decide to do too much and add everything to it or short me a patty, sometimes 2. Tonight though…I get a small hamburger with everything on it, the exact opposite of what I ordered. I would’ve understood if they were busy or something but I was the only one in drive thru. So now I will just make the u turn to Sonic across the street and endure those terrible burnt crisps they call fries with burger flavored cardboard sandwich because at least they can understand the concept of something made “plain.”

Went at lunch time. Made a mobile order upon arrival. 20 minutes in the mobile order was not ready. Turns out it had been ready but they mistaken it for a door dash order. This may be the reason the food fries and nuggets were cold. Not sure what has recently happened but this place is definitely going down hill. There is no organization with the workers it’s almost chaos behind that counter.

My husband & I just went thru the drive-thru & had to pay 8$ for a salad & got 2 large bowls of chili we asked for a Xtra cracker & I so wished I wudve gotten the little girl’s name in the drive-thru bc she studdard then told us that they were almost out of crackers!! I mean come on!!!! Was she trying 2 save them all for herself????

UPDATE: me and my husband both ended up at the hospital last night with food poisoning I will be looking into what can be done I would say this Wendy’s experience has probably ruined all Wendy’s for me.
I am very very very disappointed in this Wendy’s and I will not be coming back The people that were doing the drive-thru were very rude you ordered a brownie batter Frosty with extra batter and you barely got drizzling in it I ordered three singles with only cheese and mayonnaise they didn’t even get that right they put fries in the bag we ordered baked potatoes I sit in line for 20 minutes waiting on them to open up a bag of brownie mix this is ridiculous and if this is how you treat customers you don’t need to be in business

Fisrtof all, Amy was incredible. Very patient with our order and exceptional with a frosty fiasco. The florra were sticky in some places, the tables were ok. I got a daves tripple, large berry frosty (which rated like blackberry ice-cream… Very good if you ask me which are because you are reading this) and a lar ft e fry. All of it was great and the frosty was surprisingly thick.

Wendys morganton. The food is good but when I pay 25 for 2 meals I expect my fries to be filled and not half filled.. if you trying to save a buck you will lose in the end
