If you haven’t tried an authentic Chicago style deep dish pizza, Windy City Pizza is the place to do it! Our family went there the other day because of recommendations from several others. We were pleased to find that early on a Saturday afternoon we could be seated right away. We knew in advance that would take up to an hour for our deep dish pizza to be freshly prepared and ready for us to enjoy. Our server brought us our sodas and we enjoyed a garden fresh salad while we waited for our order to be ready. We enjoyed the atmosphere in the restaurant looking at all of the beautiful memorabilia on the walls. When our pizza arrived it was quite a sight to see! At least an inch and a half thick with the sauce on top and the crust perfectly golden brown. We each took turns taking the hefty slices of pizza from the tray in front of us. There was that awesome long cheese pull as we picked up each of the heavy slices of the pie. I was impressed before I even took the first bite. Knowing I couldn’t eat this huge slice of pizza by holding in my hands, I opted to use a fork to cut off a slice of my first bite. A new right away that I was in fried treat as I felt the fork slow down as it cut through the thick layer of mozzarella cheese underneath the beautiful red sauce. One bite, and I was hooked! This was going to be a delicious experience well worth the wait! The chunks of tomatoes in the sauce and the ham and Italian sausage were delicious! While the large pizza came with eight slices. The four of us could only finish one slice before we declared that we were stuffed! We boxed up the other half of the pie to bring home and we’re quite surprised when we lifted it for the first time to find out that even half of a pizza was quite heavy!
We each enjoyed our leftover slices the next day. Too satisfying meals out of one large pie!
Thank you to all those who recommended Windy City Pizza to us! We are excited to go back again and we’ll be trying the chicken parmesan dinner and Italian beef sandwiches on our next visit.

Been coming to the Chesapeake location for years. Always quality pizza and tastes just like home! (From Chicago myself) Service and food is great and Chicago style pizza is not just deep dish btw, it’s also known as tavern style: loaded with toppings from edge to edge and cut in squares. Highly recommend and will continue my patronage here for as long as they’re in business. Thanks Windy City for giving us Chicagoans a little taste of home!

This was our first time trying traditional Chicago style pizza and it did not disappoint! We ordered a large and it was way too much food. The mozzarella sticks were great and we got half pepperoni and half pepperoni, sausage, jalapeños, and banana peppers. We will certainly be back. Our waitress was super friendly and even let my daughter borrow her iPhone charger.

My husband & I are repeat customers here. Usually pick up. Today was the first time using delivery & the Dasher stole my pizza!
After calling to check on the status an hour after my original delivery time, the Windy folks had already passed my original pizza off to DoorDash for delivery. Windy called me 10 minutes later to alert me they believe it’s stolen. ♀️
They offered to replace my order AND send a gift card for our next order for the same amount as my order.
Great way to correct a situation out of both our control. And the replacement pizza was piping hot and DELISH!!! Well worth the wait.

The square cut thin crust pizza arrived hot and crispy with great flavor and generous toppings and the sauce was spot on. The garlic hot wings were so delicious and cooked perfectly . Delivery was on time and everything was packaged well. If you want solid Chicago style thin crust and great wings delivered right to your door this place is an easy five star choice.

I like to read reviews before I visit a new place. I saw an abnormally high rate of 1 stars. As I started reading all the negativity, I noticed management made zero effort to address any of their complaints or concerns. For this reason alone, I won’t even try this place and give it a 1 star for unprofessional service. In addition, I’ve never seen so many people say how terrible a pizza tasted. That’s pretty bad.

So this place was recommended by some of our friends as having some of the best pizza…deep dish pizza. This place is definitely the best pizza all around! Scoping out the website it did warn you about a 45 minute wait…..well worth it. Meanwhile we ordered a sampler while we waited. Chicken wings were outstanding, I’d put these wings against the top competitors in the area! Their version of a mozzarella sticks came in form of small pie in half breaded and deep fried, it’s a new and fun twist for me….it was very good! The fried pickle spears were top notch crispy and crunchy. The wait time was about 45 minutes give or take a few, but when that deep dish came out….what a beautiful pie! This pizza is 10/10. The sauce was light and flavorful, full of cheese and meats/toppings. Wonderful food fare. Staff was friendly, table service was fair and scarce at the table.
Overall a wonderful dining experience and highly recommended, repeat customer here!

I wanted a Chicago style deep dish pizza and I Googled it and Windy City pizza was the 1st one popped up. So after church I told my wife I’m taking her out to lunch at the Windy City pizza and she said ok. I called 1st and ask do they have the 8″ deep dish meat lovers she replied yes and it’ll take about 25-30 minutes to cook and it would cost roughly around $18-$20.
We drove about 45 minutes to the restaurant.
We walked in and was greeted by 2 young beautiful ladies they told us to sit were ever we wanted a the server will help us shortly. About 2 minutes later another beautiful young lady shows up and take our drink orders and Pepsi and a lemon water and we ordered the corn fritters for appetizers and ordered the Heart Attack which is the meat lover’s deep dish with garlic butter crust.
It was amazingly good hot fresh and full of cheese.
It was not what I was expecting with the red sauce on top of the pizza but it was delicious. Total lunch bill was $50 bucks.
1st time visiting and we loved it and will be back ASAP. Thanks for your awesome friendless service and delicious hot and seasoned food

Authentic Chicago style eatery!!! The deep dish pizza was off the charts good and the Chicago dog amazing.. so much flavor, and I’m not a big hot dog eater !!!! If you like or haven’t tried Chicago style foods…. this is a good place to visit. I love it!!
