When looking for somewhere different to be able to eat, have plenty of tvs for him to watch games and have a comfortable enough environment for our little one, we decided to go to this PJ Whelihan’s location. I didn’t realize it was where Mad Mex used to be until we got there. It was definitely full in there, but luckily and surprisingly didn’t seem overwhelming for our little one. The host was able to get us a booth on the other side of the restaurant that was in a good spot for us.
The staff were all friendly and polite. Our waitress was really good – good banter, good recommendations and feedback on menu items we were deciding between and very attentive during our dining experience. Though it took us a while to decide what we wanted, we made sure to put in our little one’s order since we knew she was pretty hungry – her standard and favorite (Chicken Tenders and fries). We ordered a couple of drinks: I got the Strawberry Mojito and he got an Old Fashioned. At first I thought my drink was completely off, but I just mixed it up and it wasn’t too bad after that. My boyfriend said his was okay so ended up ordering a beer after finishing the drink and preferred the beer. For our meal, we were definitely eating with our eyes lol and had a good amount of leftovers to take with us. For apps, we went with the Loaded Nachos with the pulled chicken and Hot Honey wings. Both were actually pretty good. For our entrees he ordered a burger (cooked medium) with tots while I went with the chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. My boyfriend said his burger was cooked more in the well side which he felt didn’t make it as juicy as he was looking for, but he could deal with it; my food was fine with no issues.
We definitely see ourselves coming back sometime (parent-free ) to try happy hour and other menu items.

If you want game day vibes P.J.’s is a must visit! Julia our server was absolutely marvelous! My son had a mushroom Swiss burger with fries and later a brownie sundae. He rated both 10/10 For starters I had sweet potato fries, they were thick and tasty! The horseradish dip that came with was good. My next item was the Shrimp tacos. I was drawn in by “apple slaw” They arrived looking so cute as trio! They were topped with a huge pinch of radish. When I took a bite the shaved radish was super bitter. There was no pico de gallo and the slaw was limp. I took the radish off and added hot sauce to make it palatable. P.J.’s please reformulate this ..on a scale it’s a 6/10. All other menu items I’ve eaten prior to review are 10/10. Hoping in the future to try a better shrimp taco.

I went there today, was seated immediately and served by Valia and she was nothing short of amazing !! She was very patient with me, and gave a great recommendation since they didn’t have my initial drink choice. Valia was very polite and attentive which i’m thankful for. My food was out within a timely manner and it was great they need to keep their sampler!

Monae was such a please from the moment we walked in the door. She greeted us with a beautiful smile and a gracious hello. We ordered two lemon drop martinis and they were made to perfection! Monae was knowledgeable about the menu and offered great suggestions. We had a great time at this location and the food was great! Please give Monae a raise and the recognition she deserves!

Mackenzie is an awesome waitress she did everything so so good. She did a fantastic job. The food was perfect. She got everything right. She was so kind and she definitely took her time. Great place to grab a quick beer, watch a game. We had a wonderful server, Olivia P! Took her recommendation and ordered the new smash burger, very tasty! The service was fast, and attentive! The BLT is also a good item in the menu.
