First time ordering from here. Was really disappointed with most of what we ordered. They waited to tell me that one of the soups I ordered wasn’t available til I came in to pick the order up. Also asked for the Chimichangas to be fried and they looked like they were steamed(i included a pic of what i received) Also had no flavor. For what I spent for everything I would’ve hoped for a better experience. Definitely won’t be back

It’s ….just ok. My taco salad was pretty wet. Should have been called taco soup ! My wife did enjoy her lettuce tacos though but she’s not real picky . I probably would pass on this place .

I really enjoyed my experience here this afternoon. I had just a short wait to be sat and had good service. There was only one waitress I saw in at the time serving 6 or 7 tables but she was very attentive, kind and did an amazing job! All the food was tasty and my Pina colada was great. I would definitely consider stopping in again!

The service was slow but better than previous reviews stated. We did get refills eventually. However, the Chorizo queso was more chorizo than queso; very dry for “queso”. The elote corn was fair enough but a little too light on the toppings. Quesa Birria Tacos x2 were okay quite moist and falling apart..needed to fry a bit longer. Burrito San Diego was good. Enchiladas were different than other Mexican places but reported as okay. Overall, not blown away, their menu had us salivating so kind of a letdown.

Ok so in the 5 years I have lived here I have eaten in this establishment a handful of times and each time I am more and more disappointed then the last, to start off with I’ve only had to-go from here and have never actually sat down so I’m not sure how the wait staff is, however the hostesses are rude and act like it’s a chore to help you or take your order. Next let’s talk about the food, the food is very inconsistent, I order the same thing every time because I’m a creature of habit and each time it comes out different, sometimes it’s so over seasoned it’s actually unbearable and others it’s super bland, and every time I order the EXACT same thing it’s a different price (riddle me that if you will) one time my order was under $20 another time it was over $30. Needles to say I will never be eating there again, it takes a lot to get me to actually do a review but for me enough is enough.

We are locals and went to the Camino Real Surf City for the first time and we are so impressed! The food came out fast and the perfect temperature. The chicken and queso stuffed chile poblano is the best I’ve had since we’ve been in NC. Delicious! I was happy to see Jamaica and horchata on the drink menu. Our waitress was busy but very attentive. We will definitely be back. Thanks for the great dinner!

We had an awesome dinner here last week when we were on vacation. We arrived a little late, probably close to closing time, and wanted to sit outside. I’m a waitress too so I know some servers may have been frustrated by a “last minute table.” But not Sam! Sam was honestly one of the best servers I’ve ever had, ever. He was diligent in taking our order and even asked when I ordered a second round of drinks if I wanted him to hold off for a second or not. You don’t see a lot of that, and I hope that Sam gets recognized for going above and beyond for his tables. Not only was the food awesome, but it was hands down one of the best service experiences I’ve had in a long time. Kudos to you Sam!

Great food, great drinks, & all for great prices!! These are the mango margaritas and for dinner I had the 2 enchilada combo, I think about it often because it was that good! My husband order the steak fajitas and keeps asking to go back so needless to say.. We are already planning our next trip!

Great place to come and enjoy some Mexican food. Very friendly staff, if undecided they are very helpful in making some grate choices. The adult beverage menu is a wide variety of drinks. As a local I recommend coming here when you wanna just sit back and chill. They have sometime a live band out side so you can enjoy the sounds of beach music while you have dinner. They have plenary of sports on the bounteous tvs.

Ive never been so disappointed in food here. The chicken chimichangas were flat. The tiny amount of chicken inside was a mix of white and dark meat with absolutely NO seasoning. It appeared to be boiled chicken. The sweet tea, was not sweet. I asked for Mt. Dew, it was flat. The chips served with salsa were stale. The whole dinner was just terrible.
