I recently went to Applebee’s in Kingsport with my husband. We decided to get the 2 for $25, a combo appetizer, and 2 salads. The appetizer was very good. We got mozzarella sticks, chicken wontons and sweet & spicy riblets. At least that is what we ordered. We were given mozzarella sticks, chicken wontons, & quesadilla. I told the waitress the issue and she got us the riblets and we got to keep the quesadilla which was good. However the riblets were still wrong and instead of the asian sweet & spicy we received honey bbq but I didn’t complain about that, we ate the honey bbq. The salads were good. For entrees I got the chicken parm and my husband ordered the bourbon street chicken with no onions. The chicken for the chicken parm was good, the same patty they use for their chicken sandwich, the sauce tasted like ketchup. They brought my husband’s bourbon street chicken on a bed of onions and it was a barely seasoned grilled chicken patty. It was quite awful so the entrees were pretty blah but the appetizer was great. The waitress was slow and never gave us a refill or checked on us once we got the food.

My server (Sauntee) was very pleasant and helpful. She provided helpful suggestions based on her experience and the experience of other previous customers. She was also patient as I was unable to make a choice when I arrived and checked on me at regular intervals.

I come here every so many months. Food is always good, comes out fast. The service isn’t bad, but the servers all seem like they’re ready to go home lol as if they loath being there. Which is valid but it would be nice to fake a little enthusiasm.

Me and my wife always enjoy going to Applebee’s and we enjoy their happy hour specials you can get half off appetizers we like the chicken quesadilla, beer pub pretzels and the boneless chicken with sweet Asian chili was really good. We enjoy trying their monthly drink specials. We always have good service. And they also have the good 2 for &25 dinner options, with appetizer and meals.

First time at this location and good chance it’ll be a long time before we go back. We went for a birthday dinner last weekend and the server hardly came to our table but a few times. In fact another server brought out our food so it would get cold in the window. We saw her going to the other tables several times compared to checking on us.
We got onion rings for an app, you can tell they were pre done frozen. No flavor. For our dinners my Fiance got the 4 cheese macaroni and fries chicken dinner. Where was the sauce?? The manager had to get it for us. I got a sirloin steak, asked for it to be mid well done, nope it was well done. My daughter got the bacon cheese burger. Only thing that was done correctly. The best part of the night was the desert which we got the mini cinnamon buns. They were really good. I’ve been to many Applebee’s restaurants and this will be on my list as to give it another try 1 year but not this year.
Will stick with Cheddar’s and Texas Roadhouse. Better service and better food.

The little lady bartender is terrible. Not nice, talks to boyfriend at end of bar instead of helping customers at the bar. Goes in back then comes out smelling and all happy for a bit. Can only guess what she is doing back there.
