A wonderful place for outdoor breakfast or lunch. Service was attentive and quick. The food was very good as well. Atmosphere is very ‘Sarasota’ (lots of small dogs in laps and under tables) the place is pricey but in line with the area. Waits can be significant so arrive a bit on the early side. (The selection of French bakery items is amazing!!)

Me and my husband come to Sarasota frequently and every time we come we try to explore a new breakfast place. C’est La Vie is now at the top of our list! The apricot croissant is so delicious we had to get another one before we left. All their pastries and baked goods are made fresh.
My husband ordered an avocado toast and I got an omelette. Both were pretty tasty. The fruit bowl had kiwi and fresh fruits! Usually other breakfast places just put a few grapes, one strawberry and dried out pieces of melon. This was not the case at all, which was a nice surprise.
We’ll be back soon!

Best breakfast we had in Siesta! Cappuccinos were great, even better when dipping a Palmier pastry in it! All our dishes were 10/10. Highly recommend!

We also tried the Nutella, Strawberry, and Banana with whipped cream crepe. It was delicious!

Took a weekend trip to Sarasota and popped in here for dessert one evening before they closed and I just have to say that it’s one of the best places my mom and I visited the entire trip. I had the best chocolate croissant of my life (not pictured because I hate it so quickly) and this absolutely decadent chocolate mousse cake. Next time I’m in town, I’ll have to come by earlier and have a proper meal because the atmosphere was just to die for

Wow this place has an amazing ambiance. If you get there at the right time in the morning it can feel like you’re in Paris… Until people start talking lol. The food is honestly amazing. Coffee was superb. No complaints

Our server was so friendly and accommodating for us and our dog. The food was delightful and the perfect ending to a great beach day. The ambiance is very chill with cute outdoor seating.
They have excellent selection of pastries and desserts. We got the Nutella strawberry and limoncello crepe.

My Honest Review of C’est La Vie

I absolutely love French bakery-style coffee shops, and this cozy spot with its authentic French touch was perfect for a relaxed brunch.

My go-to dish at places like this is always the *Croque Monsieur*, and I have to say—it was delicious! The flavor was spot on, the cheese perfectly melted, and the sandwich was neither too dry nor soggy. The potatoes on the side were a great complement—not greasy at all, with a nicely balanced flavor. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, just how I like them.

The cappuccino was exactly how I prefer it—bold and strong, with that rich European touch.

The overall vibe feels very European and warm, and you can tell it’s a family-owned place, which makes it even more special.

I’ll definitely be coming back! ☕

The food here c’est bon! It is good! Love the pastries and their wide selection of breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Service is quick and staff are professional. I’ve eaten both inside and outside on the patio area. Both times were all pleasant for me. Definitely indulge in their pastries if you go.
