I had a fantastic dinner at George’s Lowcountry Table! The Southern‑inspired seafood and Cajun‑Creole dishes were full of bold flavor and cooked with care — the shrimp and grits, Lowcountry enchiladas, and perfectly seasoned deviled eggs were standouts. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made it feel like a special night out in Athens. Great spot for seafood lovers or anyone craving Southern comfort food with a twist!

Food was just ok. Service was wonderful.
The shrimp and grits appetizer was great, personally it was the only food item I enjoyed. The complimentary biscuits were hard unfortunately.
I got the seafood jambalaya and it tasted too much like stewed tomato’s for me, the tomato really drowned out all the seafood flavor. My fiance got the enchiladas, which he did enjoy. We added a side of creamed spinach that wa pretty good. Side salads were average, it’s a side salad….We will go again and try some other menu items.

This is my FAVORITE dining experience in Athens. It’s my go to Birthday spot but perfect for fine food with casual fun or a great place for a special occasion. The servers are friendly and knowledgeable. Rebecca was fantastic! Thank you for EVERYTHING!

Calm place with good food. We ordered enchiladas and short ribs. Short ribs were our favorite. Service was fast and good, and the place was nice as well.

AMAZING Food and atmosphere!! Everyone loved their food and had a little to take home. We also had the popcorn crawfish but forgot to take a picture of it. The beef short rib was very tender, no knife needed! The crab cakes are large and mostly made with crab!

Service was a little slow. Wasn’t too impressed with the crawfish bites. Braised short ribs were very flavorful, but one piece was mostly fat. Potatoes were nice with the gravy made from the drippings of the ribs. Salad was good with the vinaigrette dressing. Angus burger was flavorful. Enchiladas were good and cheesy.

Amazing food at an excellent price. My favorite is hands down the shrimp and grits, my husband’s favorite is the low country enchiladas. The oysters are also great! We have loved everything we have tried. Service has been great every single time. Ohhh yes and Sunday mimosas at brunch!

We ordered crawfish appetizer and they were so tiny, the biscuits were just ok. The shrimp tortellini carbonara could be better because the rice was hard. The beef brisket has big chunk of fat in it although flavor was good. Overall the food were pretty good however we waited for a long time for the food to come out. It’s not very memorable experience.

My wife and I were seated promptly. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable. For appetizers we had the fried green tomatoes which were excellent and the popcorn crawfish (which btw they were a good size, considering how small these creatures are.For those complaining about the meat being small in other reviews They’re not lobsters, people)The wife had steak, brussel sprouts and fries and I had the redfish and etoutee.Anf for dessert they were out of the creme brulee so we had the bread pudding instead. It was our first time eating here and were very pleased with it,and will definitely be back and would highly recommend it.
