Stopped at Sugarfoot BBQ while traveling, super convenient location right off the highway. The smoked chicken, BBQ ribs, and smoked beans were all excellent and full of flavor. Brisket was a bit dry for my taste, but everything else made up for it. The homecut fries had a unique touch of sweetness that was a nice surprise. Staff was very friendly, and they even gave free ice cream to the kids, which was a hit. Great place to take a break and enjoy some good food!

First time to visit a Roadside southern Missouri barbecue.
The young staff were very pleasant. Service was very quick.
I had the burnt end and they were OK. Very tender, and properly rendered, but served in a sea of grease.
The beans were surprisingly smoky, although they looked like they were out of a can, the flavor was delicious.
Potato salad.
The chicken was delicious and moist and tender.
The deep fried potatoes were excellent.
The star of the show was the homemade blackberry pie. The crust was crispy and tender. shake was excellent as well.
Stop by and give them a visit.
Note, I still have a hard time with tipping Riley do all the service. Orders are placed at the counter, they have the food prepared for you by the time you’re there to pay. And you bust your own table. If I have to stand at the counter and order. No tip.

Sugarfoot BBQ is always a family favorite! We love the fry seasoning, and you can’t go wrong with burnt ends or pulled pork. There was a bit of a line and a wait, but thats okay, we found our seats easily.

We were traveling through and gave Sugarfoot BBQ a whirl. Big menu, attentive service, quick and tasty. My chocolate shake was a great add on to my sandwich and salad. We stopped around 12:30 lunch time, busy, but they keep up. The blackberry pie looked amazing, next time! A very nice convenience store beside them. Worth the stop again.

Wow! This place is a true gem. I stopped by to get some BBQ for a family dinner when I got back to KC. The staff was courteous and helpful, and the place was bustling around lunchtime on both Saturday and Sunday. The food was absolutely amazing! I chose four meats: turkey, pulled pork, beef burnt ends, and smoked sausage. Since I bought 3 lbs of meat, I also received a bottle of their BBQ sauce.
The turkey was moist and very flavorful. The pulled pork and smoked sausage were also moist and delicious. But the beef burnt ends were the standout—hands down the best I’ve ever had. Incredible! I highly recommend stopping here to enjoy their fantastic smoked meats.

This is a great place to eat when passing through. Big restaurant with plenty of tables and clean bathrooms. The brisket and the chickens amazing and the fries will make you want to do a double order.
