Hear ye, gather ’round and heed my words of culinary dismay. Popeye’s chicken, a dish once held in high esteem, hath fallen prey to the scourge of the kitchen. The chicken, a dull gray hue, did lie before me like a corpse on the battlefield.
The flavors that once did dance upon the palate now seemed muted, lacking the zest and vigor one expects from this noble dish. But alas, ’twas not just the flavor that did suffer, for the texture was a woeful sight to behold. The chicken was as dry as the Sahara desert, nay, drier than a withered parchment left in the scorching sun.
In sooth, the chicken did resemble the desiccated creatures of Ursula’s lair, those poor souls shriveled and lifeless like Flotsam and Jetsam after a long drought. The dryness didst suck the very essence from the meat, leaving naught but a tasteless husk, fit only for the darkest depths of the ocean.
Verily, I didst struggle to partake of it, for it seemed two dogs fighting over a dry pork chop would have shown more mercy to the poor meat than the cooks of Popeye’s did. The dryness didst rival the fiercest of canine battles, with nary a shred of moisture to be found.
One sword out of five, I do award thee, good Popeye’s. Mayhap a return to the kitchen shall yield better results, for this knight doth yearn for a meal more befitting his noble taste.

Good customer service, friendly staff, always seems to be a good spot for fried chicken. Chicken is always cooked well and not so oily as some other stores. Daily deals are attractive and reasonable price. I love the sandwich’s, always made well with big chicken. Store looks clean and healthy. Lots of parking space and in good location. Overall good place for fried chicken. I will definitely visit again.
