Our waitress was blah and the service was nothing to rave about. The atmosphere is lively and friendly lots of tvs. They did give me a free dessert for my birthday which was very tasty. Thank you for having us!
Our server needs a raise maybe bumped to manager , I can’t say enough about her !
The sweet potato waffle fries were very good! Cooked & seasoned perfectly. Would recommend them for sure!
I don’t recommend the lemon pepper wings. Not enough seasoning at all. Needed much more. At least it came out hot and they’re big wings. Theres just not enough flavor so justify the large wings and the price. 10 wings for $17 omg. Too much. It was almost like eating plain, fried wings.
Plus, I appreciate the effort, but the tiny carrot & celery didn’t look good with the amount they gave.
I also ordered a half-basket of normal fries and they were decent. Cooked & crispy, but almost cooked to death. Fries were missing lots of the actual inner potato.
The service was nice! My waitress and the sweet lady coming out bringing my food were smiling and had good, sweet energy. I really like that.
Overall, I would still come back for a 2nd time bc they have a lot on the menu and I want to try the other foods. It’s just some options are a hit and some aren’t and just a factor of figuring out what’s good.
The female bartenders, quick as lightning with a friendly grin, slung cocktails like alchemists; my Uncle Nearest whiskey neat was a smoky masterpiece poured with precision. The whiskey selection shines, though the tap beers play it safe – think classic hits, not craft brew anthems, which fits this tavern’s throwback soul.
The menu, sprawling like a diner’s greatest hits, had me skeptical about quality, but my Philly cheese steak wrap landed with bold, cheesy swagger, even if the grease left a glossy calling card.
Service was swift but leaned more “get ‘er done” than “let’s be pals,” missing that extra warmth I craved. No sweat – the lively crowd around the bar, framed by those vintage TVs blasting sports, turned strangers into fast friends, filling the gap.
With its wood-paneled charm and nostalgic heartbeat, Tavern at Medlock served up a night worth raising a glass to. I’m already plotting a return with my wife to claim our stools at this bar’s vibrant core.
Tavern at Medlock has catered our Thanksgiving luncheon for us 3 years. The food is always excellent!
They arrive on time as promised and setup is completed quickly and efficiently. Portions were plenty for our group.
We plan on using their catering services for more events in 2026!
