Social Profile:

Cucina Rustica means “Rustic Kitchen” in Italian and is inspired by the earthy interpretations of the beautiful Mediterranean countries. The old world charm, from the décor to the cuisine, captured within the walls of our rustic Italian restaurant located in Sedona Arizona. Chef Lisa Dahl was the first to bring fine-dining to the Village of Oak Creek, where she infused her passion for Tuscan and Umbrian countryside cuisine, devoting her talents to the love of Mediterranean Tapas and seafood plates. Expect to be delighted by an array of vegetarian and vegan specialties, classic pasta dishes, and perfectly grilled steaks on the menu.

Romantic, villa-style destination for Italian cuisine in multiple dining rooms & outdoor courtyard.

The restaurant is so beautiful, I must say the focaccia, it was perfect, spongy, warm saturated with olive oil. The Polpette in mushroom sauce, outstanding, it was the protein exactly I needed to recover from running up & down Grand Canyon for 14 miles.
The tortolloni in lemon sauce, I never had tortolloni that good, the Doug super thin, very soft, with shaved veggies.
This is the place I’d plan for my anniversary, so beautiful and I’m getting hotel next to it next year for my running races, so I don’t need to drive round abouts. But even the drive to the restaurant is so scenic.
Lisa’s restaurants are so beautiful.

Focaccia taste and looks like Texas toast! Not authentic
We dined here on Valentine’s Day and were really looking forward to a special experience. With Chef Lisa Dahl dining with friends on the same night, we expected the service and overall attention and service to reflect that level of presence. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.

Our server- Laura, informed us that the tortellini and pastas are imported but did not provide any additional information about where the food is sourced or the background of the dishes. For a restaurant at this price point, we expected more knowledgeable and engaging service, especially regarding menu details and ingredients.

Overall, the experience felt overpriced for the quality of food, service, and atmosphere. We had higher expectations and left disappointed

Where do I start? A sleeper hit is the hot tea. It’s all specially blended individual sachets. I enjoyed a Sedona Sunset herbal blend. The filet mignon is incredible. I’m very particular about steak and this checked all the boxes. The service was attentive but never rushed. The live music was delightful and calming. A great place for special occasions or any day you want to make special.

Delicious food, attentive staff, lovely atmosphere, yes-a bit pricey but absolutely worth it (in my opinion). I visit a few times a year with special friends or family or on special occasions and I’m happy to pay for the quality of the entire experience. My daughter is in town visiting. We stopped last night looking for a special drink and ended up buying appetizers and shared an entrée. Phenomenal!! I absolutely recommend Cucina Rustica!!

Loved this spot. Got one of their specials – frutti di mare and loved every bite. Pasta was a touch past Al dente, but sauce was flavorful and the seafood was fresh so I’ll let it slide! Licked my plate clean. You also can’t miss the artichoke beignets – really close to arancini and loved every bite. We loved the service. They sent us off with a sweet treat for our first anniversary, and scattered rose petals on our table. I love hospitality that goes above and beyond! This is the perfect place to celebrate something special!

Wife and I decided to celebrate our anniversary somewhere nice and this place did not fall short of it. Isaiah (our waiter) was great, food was delicious and the restaurant itself was clean and beautiful.

Well, I can’t review the food because I wasn’t given the opportunity to even try it. On Sunday, February 15th, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., after a wonderful weekend in Sedona and an amazing trip on the Verde Canyon Train, my family and I were looking forward to trying Cucina Rústica because it looked cute and inviting.

I was completely wrong. There was no one seated in the outdoor area, and the inside of the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. I walked up to the hostess stand and asked if they could accommodate a party of five. The hostess looked at me like I was the devil and said, “Oh no! I can’t accommodate you. I have no room for you or your family at all, but there’s a burger place up the street.”

I’m not sure if they were truly fully reserved, even though 90% of the restaurant was empty and it was only 6:00 p.m. or if it was because I have two kids, ages four and eight, and it didn’t fit the vibe. Or maybe I just didn’t match the crowd. I wasn’t even given the option to wait on standby.

All I can say is that I’ve never felt so disrespected in my life. Not that it matters to them, but I will never set foot here again. I would advise anyone who has anything in common with us not to go here either you’re not welcome.

Cucina Rustica was a fantastic experience. The ambiance is classy, elegant, yet comforting. The food was 10/10 for every dish. The staff is attentive and knowledgable. Ann-Marie was my waitress, and I have to say I am not sure I have ever had better service at a restaurant. She was able to offer her advice when choosing certain dishes, and her choices were spot on. She was friendly, paid attention to every detail, and went above and beyond to meet specific requests. This was the ultimate experience of fine dining and I highly recommend it.

They were great hosts. We originally planned to go to the Village Chophouse but they were rude since we couldn’t change our reservation (moving it to an earlier time). They closed the door on us since we were 10
Minutes late (and they had no patrons).

Cucina Rustica welcomed us with open arms and the food, atmosphere and service was terrific. Two of us purchased steaks (filet and ribeye) and both of us agreed the steak was better than most steakhouses. Overall hands down one of the best Italian places I have ever ate at!
