Great experience! The sanitation rating is a 99.5 as of 1/3/26 which is the first thing I notice in a restaurant. The ordering with kiosks was smooth and no wait to order as there are a couple kiosks. For 2 shack single burgers with no additional add ons, 2 fries, and 1 shake it was $32 (we ordered the same order at Five Guys a few weeks ago and their price was $31 so comparable pricing to competitors). Shake Shack is always so fresh, not greasy, and a filling portion. We really enjoyed our lunch!! The bathrooms were clean, no trash on the floors, & counter were clean also!!

We liked the option to order and pay at the kiosk. We were able to make customizations with ease! Our food arrived at our table in a timely fashion! The restaurant was visually appealing. A huge, open concept. Huge windows that brings in tons of natural light. They also offer the option to dine outside.

We decided to have lunch here the other day and I must say the atmosphere of the restaurant is cool, very industrial and modern plus the outside has tables to eat at on the patio which is a great touch. When you enter to look at the menu, the menu is located very high above the counter and not easy to see for this first timer to Cary Shake shack. Might be a good idea to supply laminated menus for folks to look through while waiting in line. Next, the prices seem high for how little you get. This is not a fancy eatery and a drink cost us $4, not good. I’ll post a pic of the receipt. There was only 2 of us eating and it cost us over $30. Over $30 for 2 fast food sandwiches, 1 order of fries, 1 small drink, 1 lg drink. The service was ok and nothing to brag about. The person at the counter wasn’t friendly and he just did the bare minimum.
Would we return to Waverly Shake Shack in Cary? Probably not, since the prices were high, but if the prices change we’ll be back.

Many things, first of all, the price was absolutely outrageous. 20$ for a medium sized burger and a small shake. Second, the service was very poor. They held my friend’s milkshake behind the counter saying things like “we need to clean our table before taking it”. Sounds completely illegal right? Overall experience 1/10 do not visit.

Chill weekend dinner. The restaurant seems well-staffed and well-maintained, which is nice to see. Someone was always going around sweeping the floor and checking to see if trash bins needed emptying.
I’m not big on ordering from kiosks but it’s actually pretty user-friendly here, and items are easily customizable and clearly show prices. I got a single cheeseburger with added lettuce and pickles (I love that it’s free to add those), plain fries, a lemonade, and a chicken sandwich for about 20 bucks thanks to one of their promotions. Some comments have said that portions aren’t that big but I disagree – I showed up hungry and I still have half the fries and the whole chicken sandwich left! The food came out hot and neatly placed in a bag as I’d ordered it all to go. No fries spilling everywhere, nothing stuffed in haphazard. I was missing a cup of their house sauce, but that wasn’t a big deal as the self-serve ketchup was a great complement to the food.
The burger was filling and I was especially impressed with the fries – great golden color, just crispy enough, perfect with ketchup. The lemonade is nicely flavored as well.
Looking forward to returning soon!

We couldn’t get great pictures because we started eating. It smelled amazing and taste was phenomenal. The place was super clean and well taken care off. The staff came around multiple times to check on us and attend our needs with dipping sauces or refills needed. Would visit again!

First time trying out Shake Shack!
Service and atmosphere was great! There’s outdoor seating but it was too cold for me ( 25-30F). Love the self service kiosk, instead of standing in line we went straight to the kiosk to place our order. We ordered their new Korean barbecue burger, Shack burger small fries, and two fountain drinks. The burger was a little too salty for me, the portion was kinda small. They make their patties from scratch which is good!

Shake Shack is always one of my favorites to come to. It has consistently great drinks and burgers. The cheese fries are also really good, which a lot of “fast food” places don’t have. It’s a great place to dine in or carry out. It’s completely worth the money. The photo is a smokey classic BBQ burger.

Whenever we feel like having a burger, Shake Shack is our go to place. it somehow feels like a slightly better choice than typical fast food.
We have visited this place multiple times; the ambiance is nice, and the quality is consistent with other outlets. Definitely a spot we’ll keep coming back to.
