Today I came to White Castle to pick up an order. I clearly greeted the staff and said multiple times that I was there to pick up an order.
The response? Total silence and complete ignorance. No one answered, no one acknowledged me, as if I didn’t exist at all.
I repeated that I was there for a delivery — absolutely no reaction. This is not customer service, this is pure disrespect and total failure of basic standards.
I strongly ask the owners and management to review today’s shift immediately. Employees who behave like this should not be working with customers.
Either termination, serious disciplinary actions, or financial penalties — but this behavior must be addressed. Staff clearly need to be trained on basic courtesy and professionalism.
If customers are treated like this, don’t be surprised by bad reviews and a damaged reputation. Completely unacceptable.
That said, the quality can be hit or miss depending on the time of day. On my visit, the fries were a bit overcooked and lacked crispness, and the buns on a few sliders were a little soggy. The restaurant itself could have used a bit more attention in terms of cleanliness, especially in the dining area. Still, everything was served hot, and the service was fast, which counts for a lot at a fast-food spot like this.
Overall, White Castle isn’t trying to be fancy, and that’s part of its charm. It’s affordable, convenient, and delivers a unique flavor you can’t quite find anywhere else. It’s not a place I’d go out of my way for, but when the late-night cravings hit or you’re in the mood for those iconic little burgers, it’s a reliable choice.
I visited this location to get my fix before the lunch crowd so it was clean and the staff was still busy setting up. Not the friendliest bunch but they took my order without complaint. I know it had to be a pain to deal with four different sliders while you’re trying to get started on your shift.
So many options now. I went with the sloppy joe Slider, which tasted just like a sloppy joe. If you like it, you like it. I liked it okay. Next was one of my favorites, the Chicken Ring Slider just for old times sake.
The most expensive thing I ordered was the Chicken and Waffles Slider and it was my least favorite of the bunch. The chicken was okay but the waffles were bland and uninspiring.
Finally I tried the 1921 Slider and liked it much more than I expect to. A big slider with all of the fixin’s, everything was fresh and flavorful.
Prices are always great so you can still afford a sackful of you want. I realized that I didn’t even get a plain old regular slider until after I walked out the door so I’ll definitely be going back for a couple of them and to work my way through the rest of the menu.
we also tried their dirty drinks and they were pretty good. overall, the food is a cheap fast food place, so don’t expect anything amazing.
