Today, as Charlie Staples Pitt Boss BBQ, we’re keeping the classics you love and raising the bar—extended hours (Monday – 7pm-12 midnight, Tuesdays – Closed Wednesday – Friday 11:00 AM–12 midnight, Saturday 11:00 AM – 1:00 AM; Sun 11:00 AM–8:00 PM), online ordering, game-day specials, and event space for private parties. Fifty-one years later, the address is the same, the smoke is steady, and the welcome is still a full cup of love.

C Staples is one of the great restaurants in Youngstown. If you love BBQ, you will enjoy the selection here. I stopped by Saturday to dine in. I was informed that the main dining room was being remodeled. So I chose to grab some carry out instead. I was also informed that C. Staple’s is now under new management. You can sit and wait for your carry out meal or enjoy you meal there. Seating options were tables, booths or at the bar. The staff is always friendly & great at making recommendations & suggestions. I ordered the Rib dinner, which did not disappoint. Parking is never an issue, two lots on both sides of the building. The atmosphere is very relaxed which I always enjoy. Again if you like BBQ you will absolutely enjoy this place.

Never made a order they changed their ordering from phone to automated system that is impossible to work so we went elsewhere. For Staples to be a old part of Youngstown history they should of just kept answering their phone and keeping the relationship between the restaurant and customers as great as their food was. My granddaughter who is a Gen z couldn’t even work their system.

I LOVE this place! Everyone was so nice there, and I felt like I walked into a family barbecue instead of a barbecue restaurant. Everyone who worked there was super nice and it made for a great atmosphere overall. The cashier helped me decide on which kind of sauce to get, and her recommendation was exactly what I wanted! The food was as great as the people working there!

Listen I hate leaving bad reviews I really do but I was genuinely upset about my order tonight. My porkchops were so dry my Big Bertha was missing cheese and undercooked the mac and cheese was probably the worst I ever had and I didnt get the slice of pie I ordered amd paid for. Don’t see me ordering again anytime soon. This was a pick up order.

The food was alright but when we picked up the food the fries were hot but the ribs was cold. The cold rib was just placed between two pieces of bread. I’m not sure what type of spices they are using in their sauce but nothing at all tastes like Open Pit BBQ in this sauce

Bought a gift card that I can’t even use. Online system won’t take the gift card even though the same system says there’s money on it. Can’t call and order because their automated system wont connect you to a person. Very poor way of handling customers.

Delicious wings and sauce and mac-n-cheese!!!! Nice sturdy to go box foil lined to hold those delicious wings perfectly.
Nice restaurant and small bar. Only gave a 3-star for service cause we waited a while for our food and they were having problems with their board menu. However, the people were all very friendly. Overall definitely worth the stop and wait.

Loved this place since I was a kid but I spent 40 bucks for some cold food and I ordered outside it took 13 mins smh gave me potatoe salad instead of pasta salad I’m so disappointed not the same since he sold it food to expensive to be throwing it away smh
